Mining problems

Oh and alphas can fly an Orca? Goodness…I didn’t know that. Even to skill up to fly Procurer takes quite a bit of time., and isk.

The cure for that subbing

This. You can play for free long enough to decide if you like the game, and then you can buy it and get all of the same stuff that everyone else has. Don’t complain that CCP isn’t giving you enough free stuff.

No.

They do not want you to be AFK for doing your industry, which is absolutely fine.

There is 0 possible way to pretend that progressing in the game while actually being afk is legitimate.

It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s that you can’t do it while actually not playing.

Kinda ironic to pretend that you “want” to do industry, and actually love it SO much that you can’t stand watching the game during the process…

Broadcasts for Reps and Plex for Good are just the most visible evidence to the contrary. Past that, there are a metric butt ton of players treating each other with dignity and respect, and creating positive, pro-social environments for vets and newbros alike. Of course, there are bad actors (every game has them), but I’m willing to bet that they aren’t actually your problem…

You have no idea what you are talking about. You’re like one of those idiots saying that the corona virus is scandemic.

First, Eve is sandbox. You can PvE, PvP, or do both in varying amounts. And, in spite of your assertion, there are many, many players who carebear it up in this game.

Second, yes, Eve does encourage competition and has a harsh death mechanic. Now, we could argue about whether this is good or bad, but that’s besides the point. The point is that these things are part of the nature of the game being played. And you complaining about it is like a wide receiver complaining because a safety tackled him.

Boo hoo, this game is full of violent thugs that just want to tackle you and steal your ball. Boo hoo.

Also, let’s be real. You’re just crying because you lost your ratting carrier. So either harden the ■■■■ up or leave. But whatever you do, don’t sit around trying to sabotage a game that other people love because you’re too ■■■■■■■ weak to hack it.

Finally,

Imagine being so bad at EVE mining in highsec is challenging for you.

I don’t ■■■■■■■ care about that lost.

It’s just depressing how CCP listens to the PvP screamers and systematically nerfs all areas where others might have fun.

I stick to it, it’s just a bad game for beginners or for those who want to enjoy other aspects of the game besides pew pew.

There are 2 types of mining, passive & active. I get it, sometimes you want lock on a rock and read or watch a stream or something. You have a number of options for passive mining …

  • Find a 1.0/0.9 system without an emerging conduit
  • Some combat anoms have rocks
  • Some combat mission sites have rocks
  • Blast thru an Emerging Conduit then mine talassonite all day
  • Ore anoms
  • Gas huff

Otherwise, if you need resources other than available above then you will have to be active, use dscan and fit enough tank/agility to be able to GTFO or enough tank/dps to deal with the trigs. Consider mining in a fleet, it’s better all round and you have a collective defence.

Like how you had put that, “use dscan and fit enough tank/agility to be able to GTFO”

Just before restart they are waiting for me to leave the bubble.

haha

If everyone stops mining because it’s bad (for example, because doing other activities gives ISK to buy the minerals quicker), then after a while the mineral shortage would make mining worth a lot more than it is now.

If you don’t like mining, feel free to do something else. But a lot of people seem to like the current state of mining enough to keep the supply high.

Mining would be a lot more rewarding if it was harder to mine. For example, if certain ores were more rare, if rorquals were easier to kill, if moon mining didn’t grant an oversupply of basic minerals and if mining in high security space were more dangerous through the introduction of NPCs that kill miners that aren’t paying attention…
Looking back at the changes CCP made to mining in the recent past, it seems that CCP is making the mining profession a lot more rewarding. Just make sure you don’t go AFK and die to trigs!

They are teaching us to setup more than one ship and more than one system.

We have jump clones that can drop us where we need with 19-24hr cooldown etc.
Just have barges in many systems and mine in random places.
Be unpredictable and you should have more fun.

Perhaps for the same reason that you can’t comprehend what was written in the post…?

They kill miners regardless of whether they’re paying attention or not.

I came back to eve shortly after the trig’s were introduced. I went out mining in my freebie venture and saw a group warp in. “Oh neat, new rats!” Of course my ship suffered a rapid unscheduled disassembly shortly thereafter, but the important part is that it hasn’t happened since.
Because I’ve learned. Eve isn’t hard if you actually learn from the lessons it gives. It’s sort of like life. Which many seem to fail at, coincidentally.

You seem to lack human decency but hey, who’s judging? It’s not like if we mined your skull that we’d find any brain cells.

Because you’ve learned.
