With a simple RECLOAK and you have again fresh 15 minutes of Immunenity of beeing decloaked.

Just delete this Immunenity and decrease the change each ping

Do you actually filter your d-scan by your overview? Good god, man, stop doing that.

As someone who spends most of their time flying around cloaked I don’t have much issue with this update. Maybe have them limited to two or three per system and make them take up a bit more hold space. Otherwise seems like a reasonable answer to AFK cloaking.

There have been times when I have been in a cloaky ship, watching miners mine and waiting for the right moment to shoot them. I do not think CCP should make an item to counter that, if the miner wants to be safer they can mine in HS instead of J-space.

What about a counter mechanic to kick afk dockers (hiding from afk cloakers) out of their station? That’s just fair. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aside from the fact that these need to be unanchorable within 1000km of citadels and starbases (I dont frankly see any problem with anchoring them near your mining fleet), these seem very well balanced. There’s a lot of tears in this thread from people who are upset that they cant turn on their cloak, go to work, come home, go to sleep, wake up before DT, and still be negatively impacting people in a system.

These are:
short lifespan
low hp
not dirt cheap (Cheap, but 40m still adds up for the average player)
easily countered by cycling your cloak every 15 minutes
slow to activate
and most importantly: Are only going to have a real impact on people who are completely afk. These wont even impact cloaked filament people at all

I like the idea of the structure using fuel. But I think it should be heavier. Stront would be a good fuel type to provide opportunity for counter play since it’d require a hauler to set up or multiple trips to the structure.

Currently, the only thing balancing this deployable is the fact that it is expensive to manufacture and throw away.

I agree that the cycles should be visible or at least labeled in the deployable attributes. Currently, my best guess is that the activation delay is the pulse interval.

To add to this, I don’t like that it drops an overview beacon. Should the fueling be required, it should be combat probed instead. It already has the signature radius and sensor strength profiles for this change.

This will also force cloaky campers to adjust their fittings for combat probing which makes their activities more involved and their prey selection more limited to what they have available on the other side of their cyno.

I am a cloaky camper. I support the addition of some counter play to my play style, but at current, my biggest qualm with this addition is that the only activity it promotes for me is hitting my cloak button every 15 minutes.

I agree 100% with some mechanic that stops completely afk cloaky camping, You should not be able to log on just after downtime, fly 20 stealth bomber into a bunch of systems, and leave them cloaked all day. Go to the bar, have a pint or six, come back 8 hours later and drop a gank fleet on someone who finally got tired of having their gameplay interrupted by a completely uncounterable mechanic.

This. If you are an active player you can easily re-cloak without any chance that you will scanned down.

Do you get a notification in Logs and Messages when it tried to decloak you? I have been sitting here next to an invisible MOOB and don’t see anything.

All depends on structure size and anchoring mechanics.

Many new Upwell structures are blocked from being anchored in Pochven by players.

Let me tell you the story behind this KM. One person saw the hauler going to Jita, and they had an Astero as a scout for them. They messed up and logged the scout out for a few minutes, during which time we all got on the hole they were using and cloaked up. When the hauler came back, we decloaked, bubbled it, and killed it. None of us were AFK, but if the new structure were in the system, it would have completely ruined our chance to kill the guy.
A better idea than random decloaking is to decloak people who have not said or done anything in several minutes/hours. Typing something new in the chat or aligning to a new object should reset the timer, so it does not decloak people who don’t deserve it.

How much did Fraternity paid to the CSMs, that patch after patch they get buffed?
Now we will see Vale of Silent on every gate bubbles, no cloaky campers. FREE isk incoming…
Coaky camping is NOT AFK, its way more work then you think.

Only deployable in 0.4 sec and lower? How can cloaky camping be rewarded in highsec? Seems a bit weird or inconsistent.

I completely agree. Everyone involved has to be ready and waiting, anyone AFK misses out on the chance for a kill.
