Moderation of the Forums

Of course you don’t. Because it happened to YOU this time.

Stop while you still have posting privileges at all. Or keep attacking the ISD. I can tell you from personal experience how that ends up.

I didn’t attack the ISD. I questioned his modding in a thread made for this very topic.

I don’t care about my posts specifically, but there seem to be a lot of inconsistencies around the off-topic rule. This has been expressed by all regulars in both camps.

I’m all for keeping the forum low on moderation, however many (like yourself) wants the forums to be less trashy. So I’m not only limiting my off-topic rants to a minimum (I was the one that called for a stop to our discussion), but I also use the flagging system wherever I deem necessary.

We have an off-topic flag and an off-topic rule. But if this rule is too strict, then it should be discussed, no?

Have you tried blocking them so you no longer see their posts?

It is not that effective, because I did that with certain people in the past, but others would join in and start quoting them to get around that. Unless the quoted part is now removed, if so it will help. I will block that person now and see how it goes. Thanks.

If you’ve set someone to ignore any posts that contain quotes from that person will only show their name in the quote, not the content.

Someone on the web team has recently expanded the ignore time options to include eternity.

Thanks then it will work then, done it for eternity.

Bear in mind that it only hides the content when it’s a direct quote using the quote function, blockquotes don’t get hidden as they’re not attributed to the ignored poster.

The ISD inconsistent! How dare you!

And they were all correctly flagged because every single one of them was off topic.

I wondered exactly that when I saw which posts had been left up.

@ISD_Buldath you locked my post for violating the “24 hour period”.

That’s not the rule. The rule is “ONCE PER CALENDAR DAY”. I did not violate the rule as I bump this post once a day.

Please read the rules before you enforce them.

@Zheckarr_Zateki Above every post there is a Date and time when a post was posted. In your case, currently as of me typing this, it says “1M” for One minute.

This is what is used to gauge when a post can be bumped. For future reference you cannot bump a sale thread if it is anything less then 24 hours.

Hope this helps. This is used as it allows people from Different TImezones to Moderate equally across all posts, as the forums give the same time frames for everyone regardless of were the reader is.

No, that’s a lie. There is no rule that mentions 24 hours. The rules says “one bump per calendar day”. All my bumps are within a calendar day. READ THE RULES

3 hours later, would have been the sufficent 24 hour waiting period. You bumped the topic at 10am when you posted the last bump at 1:15pm.
if you would have waited 3 more hours, your post wouldn’t have been locked.

Those rules are old, and carried over from the old forums and have not been updated since the change to discourse. I am making a note to get those updated as they can be a little confusing. Thanks for bringing that up.

No, that’s not the rule. The rule is once per calendar day. If one bump is later, the next will be earlier and the next will be later.

That’s a lie. The rules for sales ads listed separately on the new forum. It’s a sticky post.

You closed my post in violation of the rules just to spite me. If you enforce this ridiculous “every 24h” rule, enforce it for everyone. No one reported my post, you singled me out.

they have been enforcing 24 hr rules when they see them, even though you are correct it does say one calendar day, most people tend to wait the 24 hr period. had nothing to do with “spiting” you, they close posts quite a bit that are bumped more often than should be.

No, they haven’t. They singled me out.

You should write to communityteam@ccpgames.com and tell them what a horrible person ISD Buldath is. Also make sure to tell them how he plays ding-dong-ditch, kicks kittens, and engages in premarital sex. Awful, awful human being. ISD Buldath you are out of line, young man!

But remember: you are not a victim, you are a SURVIVOR!
