For September, the MER has received minor fixes to the way we categorize types for mining.
The economic summary shows the Ship Index continuing to drop, with a ~4.5% drop over the last 12 months. Conversely, the Mineral Price Index has reached a new record of 287.

Like every month: Too much Ice from afk/bots in HighSec. Too few Ore/Ice mining in Lowsec. Solutions are easy:
no static icebelts any more, afk-massmultiboxers and bots shouldn’t rely on the fact that they can log in, undock 20 hulks and just erase a belt convenient in half an hour, putting all the money/resources into one guy’s pockets.
split the ice amount from the static belts into randomly spawning ice anomalies (directly warpable) of smaller size and scannable ice sigs of larger size with some higher quality ice. Give active and motivated mining corps an edge over semi-afk massmultiboxers and bots.
do the same for lowsec with the high-quality ice/ore belts, plus adding “abandoned ORE mining outpost” sigs with high quality Ice/Ore in a deadspace pocket that can’t be hotdropped. This would encourage people to do mining-expeditions that are worth the endeavour if you can survive. The need to scan them first and the need to take a gate before warping in would allow the miners to defend themselves with paying attention, leaving a scout or suicidetackler behind to evac their fleet on one hand, but also allow hunters to prepare ambushes by pre-scanning the sites so they can sneak in with a cloaked ship without probes being shown and/or using recons to keep the Dscan empty. Interesting interaction for both sites is possible.
And will try again once they think they can get away with it. Also don’t they develop another game based on NFTs or crypto or something that received funds for including that “technology”?

The change to C5’s and C6’s moved the needle so little that it falls within the noise.
Which is what was predicted. The change to C5’s and C6’s did not impact the amount of isk generation at all, it just consolidated that isk into the hands of smaller groups.
Since it’s simply not worth the effort of putting together a fleet to clear C5 or C6 sites without the boss to add to the loot pool.
100% this and look at poor c1’s and c2’s being completely worthless.
A part of me would love to see an expansion dedicated to wormholes but I know there is a high chance it would make it worse than current.
this is one of the main reasons why multiboxing in PLEX online Sponsored by Visa is cancer to the overall sustainability of the whole game… people can see its the problem but as long as the money comes in from the multiboxers the management will embrace this to the destruction of the game as a whole. #seemslegit.
I’m more than positive that if loot tables were available for everyone without some 1billion gate fee more Capsuleers would ditch highsec ganking and turn to shooting npc rats in various higher quality sites!
Any Hi-Sec group who brags about having members flying around space with a 5 bil pod and half a dozen 1-bil+ deadspace modules in their cargo so they get to skip the line to join the fleet immediately while the T2 fits get sent to the back of the queue deserve the suicide ganking that they receive.
And CCP had a great system in place that fixed those issues with the drifter incursions! The T1 fit thrasher and corax meta with a freighter full of fully fit ships to hand out as folks routinely get doomdayed was absolutely hilarious, engaging, and fun!
