Nothing against a negative opinion, but if it has nothing behind it other than crying or complaining its going to kill my investment its just salt crying.
If it included things like for example;
If common ore removed from moons, there should be an increase in ore anomalies ore amounts to counter the lose.
Or increase the number of ore anomalies spawns to counter the reduce ore in these sites and lose of common ore in moon belts.
Or increase the refining percentage of refining skills to help counter the reduced ore availability.
Thereâs three quick off the head possible suggestion to counter moon common ore lose. And if people actually though for once instead of crying, they could come up with better more thought out counter suggestions to the moon ore lose update.
Just saying crying doesnât do anything other than give salt to everyoneâs popcorn.
To say they were vague about the changes would be an understatement. They said there would be âsome changesâ after a shortage period and evaluation of what the shortage period did. Then they said âbasic oresâ would be removed from moons making it sound like Veldspar, Pyroxes, etc⌠were going to be removed. At no time did they state that all mineral based ore was going to be removed and that all mineral ore was going to be removed from moon DNA.
But suggest stopping the the sky is falling and the end is near mentality some have shown.
If someone doesnât like the changes they should provide a good reason why and suggest at least an idea that might be better. Instead of just flaming, crying, etc, etcâŚ
Constructive feedback will go further than yelling iâm quiting my #accounts , this changed has killed MY gameplay , i could go on with all the salt crying posts, but you get the idea.
So far iâve seen maybe a few constructive counter suggestion posts to the change, most of the others are criers, quitters or similar.
You have to wonder how many are over 12years of age based on some of those posts.
But no i would not suggest just blindly accepting updates, do research into them and suggested future updates, look at the bigger picture, get informed and provide constructive feedback posts.
Couldnât agree more. I like to think that this is the start of an evolution for industrial/mining.
Actually they did as I was going to post this, but checked first. It is the last part of the second three part bullet point about removing basic minerals from the moon ore, however, point agreed with in general
You mean that wasnât its purpose until CCP redesigned it and introduced Excavators specifically to make it a mining ship, right?
If CCP decided to get rid of Excavators tomorrow, the miners of nullsec would basically shrug and keep on trucking. Rorqs get hulk-esque throughput w/Mining Drone IIs, you know? You know whoâd piss and moan about it?
The guys who lobbied hard for fighters and Excavators to give them killmails.
So sure! Nuke 'em! Tune Rorqs down to where they donât get as much yield as a Hulk. It wonât stop people from using Rorqs. Know why?
Mobility.
Rorqs have jump drives. You want them to go back to being a support ship? (Frankly, a lot of us in null would prefer that.) Let them do Industrial Bridges so the Exhumer-fleets can move around enough to be worth actually using. Because thatâs what really keeps them from being used: theyâre just not worth it. Theyâre not mobile enough in an environment where you have to actively mine all your moons.
Dontâ get me wrong, active moon mining is good. Passive moon mining was utter crap that let people make money for doing nothing once the POS was set up. If you want the ISK, you should have to actually work for the ISK. Spent time out in space where you can get shot at. Ideally, youâd do that in a ship that doesnât sit on an obscene amount of local tank⌠like an Exhumer. But it needs to be able to get around to all the moons you need to mine.
More importantly⌠so does the pilot. Right now, you can put the ships in a rorq and jump it, but then the miners need to interceptor around, which takes longer and frankly, is annoyingâthe interceptor canât be stashed in the Rorq when you get there, so everyone wastes time docking and swapping ships back and forth. And when youâve got dozens of moons to deal with⌠that wasted time adds up. So people just spend more ISK to get into Rorqs and jump themselves around.
Now, if Rorqual Clone Bays (which are a thing, but NOBODY uses them) could let people JC around without the 19-24h timer? Thatâd do it, too, but that would be massively abuseable. Rorqs would basically be a low-cost invasion platform. Just carry the beach-head ships in a carrier or fax, and JC to the Rorq. So itâs probably not the best option.
Enter the Industrial Bridge. Bridge around industrial shipsâminers, haulers, etcâwith a Rorqual. (And FFS, remove the ability for BlOps to jump to Industrial Cynos, cuz thatâs just dumb. ) Remove Excavators. Poof!! Now the Exhumer w/Rorq support is the premier mining ship for nullsec, instead of massive groups of 400+ Rorquals.
But, you know, that doesnât drive the Skill Extractors.
Great, lets have a pvp nerf too, You canât shoot someone unless they agree, you canât shoot someone who doesnât have guns on their ship âŚ
I donât like to be killed in game so I am gonna cry about it and have a great nerf done.
The point is we have only seen the negatives of the nerf, 5 months in, with no details of the positives except that right now the only way to effectively mine is to multibox
The problem with your suggestions is this moon change isnât in a vacuum, it is a part of the anomaly nerf as well. So suggesting that they buff anomalies because they are nerf moons will get no where because its all one large change nerfing both.
We canât make intelligent suggestions here because CCP is just following up with âwell there is more to come so just waitâ and we are stuck trying to guess what they are doing while the market destroys itself. They clearly donât want to encourage mining so any suggestion that goes towards that is also shouting into the void. That is why the only real suggestion here is âPLEASE GOD DONâT DO THISâ because every step forward has been more and more nerfs. If we had any clue what the end game was maybe less people would be panicking but for now this is all we have.
