Moon Mineral Distribution Update

I came for the same exact reason. Plus, some people actually have some good points I haven’t read yet.

I knew about the changes before I dropped my 3 stations. But, honestly… I never even imagined a scenario where ALL trit was removed from moon ores. I’ve been asking in the forums for more information since that announcement about the moon changes, so I knew if I should even do it.

I got massively screwed because CCP wouldn’t let us know about the trit removal.
If I had known that was gonna happen, I wouldn’t have bought and deployed 3 stations.

That’s not even the end of it, there’s more to come, and who knows how long they will drag out this massive player punishment parade. I don’t feel like sticking around for the abuse in hopes of a better game, on an unknown time table.

Ok so rorq’s reduced mining ability, then reduction of sizes of rocks in belts. Then remove some rock types from the belts in Null Sec, now remove regular ore from moons. So you need to expend approximately 5 times more effort to obtain the same amount of ore as before and you won’t even be able to get all the minerals you need to build… I don’t see how this helps anyone unless you are trying to push people out of Null Sec or just allow the large alliances to be effective… I guess it is ok after all though. Ever since they changed the Cyno rules. I have gone back to flying skiffs and cruisers since I won’t risk anything bigger since I only have 1 account so I can’t have a cyno ship on station at all times. Keep these wonderful changes coming CCP. They help the small corps and individual players so much

Mine in emerging conduits. There’s more ore in them than you can possibly mine in a day.

What is an emerging conduit?

I’ve killed them but didn’t notice ore guess ill look when I get home thanks for the info QuakeGod

An orca and 5 corp mates can clean out an emerging conduit in a couple hours.
If you’re talking solo, an orca and 2 alts can clean it out in a few hours.
I know, I’ve done these things. Conduit ore cannot be compressed either, which creates logistics issues on top of everything else.

The ore in emerging conduits contain Tritanium, Nocxium, Megacyte, and Zydrine.

Yes the ore is rather large and can’t be compressed, which is a hassle. Regarding the time it takes to mine one out, yes it can be done in a few hours, but another conduit pops up in like 30 minutes, so there’s another few hours worth, etc…

If you’re just the average solo miner in a single barge, you can spend all day trying to mine out a conduit.

will have to check do the trigs keep coming back as a cycle in numbers or just a few as normally hobs will handle 3 or 4 without dying if more then I guess a combat ship would be needed a s escort for the orca and procs

You’ll have to clear out the conduit first. There are 3 waves of rather nasty Trigs that spawn. You’ll need something like a well-fit Rattlesnake to clear them out first before you can mine. But after you clear them out, no, they don’t come back.

cool I don’t have trouble clearing depends on the distance you warp in at trying to keep them at 70 to 100 k can sometimes be a problem

You also have to keep someone in the conduit at all times or else it will de-spawn.

figured that would be the case but thanks

Sometimes I kind of cheat and warp to one in a cloaked covert ops and just sit and wait until someone clears it, then warp in my mining toons, lol.

sounds a cool way also

really don’t get much for killing them so whichever way you can get them done is great

So my take on this is CCP is finally going to make good on actually have moon goo like it was in null close to a decade ago. In that we only extracted moon goo from a select number of moons and there were no minerals or belts generated from this activity.

However given your direction from that point to current you created a different version so players would embrace and use the new structures instead of the POS towers.

The current change in direction is just a huge isk sink that benefits CCP and not players. Especially players with less than a year in the game. The changes also impact the industrialist more then the rest of the player base. The players that build items, modules, ammo and ships, etc in Eve. My impression is your pushing slowly into a direction where players are forced to pay subscriptions and items can only be obtained via micro transactions.

You think this screws over Null? Try living in a wormhole. No belts, anoms with spawn times counted in days, lowest class moon goo and now if we want to haul out ore it’s uncompressable.

We have over 20 athanors in my hole. Sounds like we’re getting screwed harder. But this is the right call from CCP, we’ve had feast for a long time… now we have a famine.

It’s cheaper to pay a subscription fee anyway. It costs more to PLEX than it does to just pay a sub. And if you are playing EVE in order to get enough ISK to PLEX your toons, EVE is no longer a game, it’s your job…
