Sooooo…… Let me get this straight. All of the people who are currently paying for Omega on their mining alt are now going to be deprived of the entire reason they created the alt in the first place? That doesn’t sound like a prudent thing to do, does it?

Yes you can. The ONLY mineral that you can’t mine in high sec now is Morphite. All of the others can be mined in static belts and emerging conduits.

The belts have tiny rocks, and require far too much attention while mining.
The whole appeal of moon mining is that I can watch movies or shows while mining.
Belt mining with an orca and 2 alts requires alot of micromanaging because the rocks are so small. Only 1 and a half cycle for most rocks. I detest belt mining, because of how tedious it is. Any other activity that requires that level of attention pays many times better.
Not only that, I put up 3 athanors last month that will never ever pay for themselves. But CCP: “oh well sucks to be you”. So it’s go be a cog in some nullsec machine, do pvp, or belt mine. None of those activities appeal to me, nor do any of the other activities. This game is dead to me.

for me what will happen and guessing this will apply for most of hs/wh will mine out chunks before the change and start a new one after that well will be mine that chunk then shut down since ya there is no chance in hell that next chunk will pay for the fuel
So at this point the NPCs wipe out the belts in most systems before I can get on and now the moons won’t have anything worth mining except pyrite and mexallon. Production is going to suck. Are you trying to change the game to only PVP?

I have been playing now for close to 13 years have put up with a lot of changes these changes may make sense but at this time I don’t see it I have 7 omega accounts all paid for with RL money I can only say with the changes mining in high or low will be not worth me maintaining these characters maybe its time I gave up altogether since PVP seems to be all CCP is interested in. I don’t have a lot of stations but paying for fuel and building them was always a challenge

Kids like you who want to run people out of the game confuse me.
Not every activity in the game needs to require 100% attention and sitting on the edge of your seat for every key press and mouse click. Highsec mining as a whole is a fairly afk operation.
People like you are the problem. Wanting to destroy every aspect of the game that doesn’t require 100% of the player’s attention.

I don’t mine AFK and I mine in regular static belts every day and still make billions, even in high sec. Between Machariel bumpers, gankers, and Triglavian patrols, I would think you people would have learned by now not to AFK…
Like this genius who thought he could AFK in a blinged-out battleship. He still got shanked by Trigs…

Maybe you’re talking about people who are literally afk, and mining.
It takes a few minutes to mine out a moon rock with 100k m3 or more, and move the ore from alt ships to fleet bay. Move to new rocks when the one im on is close to done, to maximize isk/hour.
This can’t be done with belt mining, as all of the rocks are spent in less than a minute, requiring much more attention. Even if belt mining is as profitable or more, other activities pay as much or more for that level of attention investment.
I could just go run lvl 4’s with my mach on a single character for the same amount of isk/hour I get with an orca and 2 alts. It just doesnt make sense to kill off multi boxing. I’d imagine that is a substantial amount of CCP’s income from the game. That and people buying/selling plex.

Yes I’m referring to people that are 100% AFK. If you are actively watching the screen but you have a movie or whatever playing beside you in another window, yeah I can see that.
I see players on Zkill every single day getting popped by trigs in Skiffs, Retrievers, Covetors, and even Orcas. If you get popped by a Trig in an Orca you were 137% AFK and deserved it…

I think there’s something to this, inasmuch as I have been re-pricing my T1 ship sell orders higher based on the increase in average mineral costs.
On the other hand players are still buying ships at the higher prices. I hope that trend lasts.

The only ship that gets popped is my newborn 2nd alt I took on for more isk an hour in moon mining when 3 or more catalysts warp in on it and insta pop her retriever. To fix that I’ve been training her for skiff, and run a 105k ehp skiff fit on my 1st alt.
But, it looks like both alts will be in alpha state for quite a while. Likely my main too.
Even if I can make 100m an hour running level 4’s, i’m really bored with that.
The first 3 years of eve I played were running 4’s and incurrsions.
This time around I wanted to be an industry titan, but that dream is quickly dying off, along with my interest in this game. Seriously, if I want to invest alot of attention in a game i’ll go play PoE or LoL. Not this game.

So atm a 7 day cycle gives you roughly 3.3 mil M3 of ore (total). Based on that…what will the new total be with moon ore only? 3.3 mil?..2.5 mil?..under 2mil? Depending on the BPO changes to R4, if you cant get atleast 2mil-2.5 mil moon ore out hisec (0.5) moon…its wont even be worth fueling them let alone trying to make the little profit for the effort needed to mine them
I understand the whole mineral thing needs a shake up…rorq nerf, anomiles nerfs, now moon nerfs…but with all these nerfs…i have nfi where the minerals going to come from? Normal belts are a waste of time cause even if the NPCs dont rape them first (yer i saw the patches they got nerfed) but if you mining and they red to you, they warp their defense fleet in and kill you anyway…so norm belts are out…where else u get mins?
We will see what happens…but lets hope CCP are cautious on what may be coming.
PS…too all the ppl saying “i’ve just dropped a station and drill in the last month or week…and now you nerfing it and I lost all this isk”…mmm…Everyone knew this was going to happen last year then CCP reinforced again in the dev blog from early February…so you only got yourselves to blame.

it wont matter what we think or argue about here CCP has made its decision and unfortunately eve will end up like other games we have all played other games and lost interest due to changes that were supposed to make it better, I guess we will see but the days of paying for multiple accounts maybe coming to an end
