Moon Mineral Distribution Update

There is nothing wrong with eve…just pull out your VISA and comply.

Credit cards and plex won’t help you.
If you look at the data sheets they posted yesterday, half of the isk generated in the game is from bounty payouts. The only thing buying plex does for anyone is soak up the isk from bots farming in null, and sink it in subscription time. It will be interesting to see the price of plex by the end of the year, that’s for sure.

Edit: If they really want to shake things up and fix eve, consider removing plex from the game, and making it subscription only. New players should have a 30 day trial period, not a lifetime alpha pass. Really tired of seeing games I loved being destroyed be the f2p model.

What you say is true, the trit removal is also a surprise to myself, but to me thats just a double nerf. Even if the trit wasnt removed it would still be a considable nerf to R4 moon mining in general.

Like i said…see what the R4 BPO changes are, maybe it stabilizes the isk per hour/plus fuel for 0.5 …but yer…its not looking good for 0.5/R4 mining atm anyway

This is another option, but every rock is like 3k m3…so idk…, not worth the time imo…mise aswell run L4/incursions

Yeah that’s how it was the last time I played around 3 years ago. Nothing to do but 4’s/incurrsions or join gank fleets. Those activities are fun for a while, but quickly get boring.

At least with moon mining the way it was, you could sink time for isk and try to compound your success, instead of just trying to break even. Who the hell wants to run a station to break even, or only have a marginal gain on a massive investment?

Well…ive already got a backup plan, (like most ppl do…adjust to gameplay/buff/nerfs and such)…but we will see on once the changes are announced.

Weekly cycle M3 amounts of moon ore and BPO R4 changes should be the only talking point in this discussion…nothing else.

Gameplay changes and players adopt…this is eve online ppl…literally everyone in this thread complaining/whinging or asking questions on anything other then thoses two critical changes which are happening to moon mining are retarded or playing the wrong game lol

Takes an hour or two to clear trig sites. You cannot compress the ore and there is no reprocess bonus for refining the ore. It hasn’t been worth mining given the difficulty to do so. Will it get mined after the changes? Sure, only because it will be the only way to get needed minerals. And they will only be mined by fleets or people with multiple accounts as the site vanishes if a player isn’t sitting in it the whole time.

If you are an average solo miner you cannot leave the conduit. And you would of had to kill the last trig in the conduit while flying that barge.

It’s not just the changes, but the time table for the changes.
If the changes all happened inside of a month, it would be far less painful of a transition.
But, it has, and likely will, continue for many months.

You’re right about adaptation, but when the changes come in waves every month, on an unknown time table for the players… It’s going to cause problems. If they published at least a rough time table for all of the planned changes, and what they are, at least then players could plan appropriately.

The changes to moon ore, and mineral distribution, aren’t the only barrel players are staring down I’d imagine. Knowing all of the particulars about R4 changes won’t help anyone, if there’s more coming down the pipe after that, or if there’s a massive gap in between gutting out ore/minerals, and the implementation of the new moon changes.

I want to see the answer of players and developers. you want to remove all base ores from the moons. Will you leave the nulsec ore in the moons?

No, those are being removed too

True, but we most of us have know for a good few months now CCP nerfing the F*** out of mineral.s…everywhere (hi/low/null) The only thing we dont know know is the R4 BPO change…we know everything else…now we know the removal of trit from those R4 ores. There no much else other those 2 key points I said (weekly M3 amounts and R4 changes) we dont know about.

These changes will happen…only then if CCP has seen they messed up they will revert some of the changes or change something, but we wont know that till they do it.

You cant expect CCP to have some sort of ‘timeline’ on the changes…they themselves wont know the implications of it till it runs it course for a few months.

Like ive said…M3 weekly cycle amount and R4 BPOs change should be the only thing people should be concerned about right now…changes/nerfs/buffs/adjustments AFTER this change is irrelevant atm

I must have missed where it said soon… all I saw was that it said they had no date for when it will happen. This doesn’t tell me “soon” so much as it screams “Not really gonna happen”

We were kind of in a similar situation. Started decommissioning and hauling out our stations when the wormhole spawns changed, this just put the nail in the coffin for wormhole life.

Contract your stuff to me. In Jita mind you, I don’t want to have to work to get it.

Lame meme.
Contract me your stuff and biomass pls.
All my crap goes in an npc station to sit, till I have need of it again.
Go beg someone else for scraps.

Since the contents of the moon ore will change drastically, their value will change too.
They will be much less valuable in most cases, I assume (since your info is hardly very exact).
So will all market buy-orders for these ores be cancelled and their costs and taxes refunded when this goes live? It used to be easy and cheap to adapt orders but it’s a bit costly now.

That’ll be true of pretty much any change… ever. There’s nothing that can be set up for small groups that large groups can’t exploit better. No matter what it is, the large groups have more brainpower (in terms of more brute-force lumps of grey matter in more skulls) to devote to the task, and can compare notes to brainstorm on it. And large groups… can form small groups. Lots of small groups. So it’s just more small groups running the same stuff in parallel, then discussing their combined data sets to maximize their return on investment.

It’s almost like that’s why we don’t still live in small bands of hunter-gatherers, or independent city-states, or something…

I’m not saying small groups and individuals shouldn’t exist. They absolutely should. But any change will always benefit the larger, better organized groups more, proportionately. That’s just one of the things size and organization do for you.

Aryth has expressed far more satisfaction and optimism (and no more details) since the Summit.

This is not true. Incarna (WiS) came out in June 2011. The 18 months prior to that saw the release of Incursion (Nov 2010), Tyrannis (May 2010) and Dominion (Dec 2009). I’m not sure how you get ‘no updates’ out of a total overhaul of the Sov system, the introduction of Planetary Interaction, and the intro of Sansha Incursions… [Edit: here! Show me on the list of release dates where that 18 month period is. Needs to be a completely missing year, remember: Expansions of Eve Online - Wikipedia ]

More, CCP spun up an entirely new studio in CCP Atlanta because they bought White Wolf. Guess where WW was. G’wan. Guess. Did you guess ‘Atlanta’? Cuz that’s the answer. And that’s who was working on World of Darkness (the ‘other project’ that was tied to WiS).

But you know why WoD didn’t happen, and why it was tied to WiS? Because CCP Iceland kept poaching Atlanta’s dev time and manpower to work on WiS, leaving them unable to make much headway at all on the WoD MMO beyond making the Carbon Engine, among other things that were all about management direction.

Mind you, they bought White Wolf because it was making money. The acquisition made more money for CCP. If it hadn’t, Onyx Path (former WW writers, no less) wouldn’t have been paying CCP licensing fees to continue working on the pen-and-paper games. And Paradox sure as hell wouldn’t have paid good money to get their mitts on WW and the WoD IP.

It’s perfectly ok to be annoyed at CCP getting distracted with side projects like Valkyrie and Gunjack and so on while ignoring EVE itself… but get your facts straight when you do. It’ll help you avoid being 100% wrong.

First ever post on a forum here… and i have to say, i 100% agree with your statement. The answer has always been get a rorq, go to a spod rock and go watch a netflix movie. I haven’t been playing for a super long time, but its kind nice seeing more barges, porpoises, and orcas out and about rather than competing with 12 rorqs in a belt.

Awesome !
Looking forward to the market volatility this will bring. Always fun to figure out things when changes happen.
