so I have a question… what does immediately mean on Iceland?
“We are changing the contents of moon ores, but not basic ores. When you refine moon ores, you won’t get basic minerals (as per the exceptions above). This will take effect immediately”
the moon ores still have basic minerals in them, so when is this change gonna take place?
Bend Over Here It Comes Again. People take time to skill into things and put billions of isk into building their own gameplay the ccp comes along and makes it useless, so you soldier on re spec / train into something else just to have it screwed again. And the argument people are using is people have been getting to rich so well make it harder for anyone to make money. great plan
I guess fixing the inherently unfair belt replenishing mechanics at this time is out of the question? If HS belts are going to be under greater pressure due to repositioning of mining assets, even fewer asteroids will be left for those at a later time period. Immagine if fully all rating anomaly sites spawned at DT and would only be replenished at DT…then move DT to 20:00 GMT. The salt mined then would be at record levels. Current mechanics indicate NA/SA and the Aussies are going to have even fewer game assets to be available. CCP needs to have something along the lines of ice belt replenishing used for asteroid belts, so that the playing field is level for everyone. Perhaps it may be too technical for the CCP programmers?
This is such an awful change. How can they not see that those massive corporations with MASSIVE mining fleets are just going to be absolutely decimating all of the belts even more than they already are. They’re going to be the only ones profiting, meanwhile the solo indy corps are just gonna get absolutely bent over.
Daybreak is the entity that used to be Sony Online Entertainment / Verant. They weren’t sold, they were spun off into their own company, IIRC. Much like how Turbine was acquired by Warner, then when Warner wanted to get out of the MMO market the DDO/LotRO devs pooled their resources, got a loan, and bought the licenses and their own code from Warner under the name ‘Standing Stone Games’.
I defend CCP decisions a lot of the time, but this is crazy. Yes the game economy needs fixing but you have completely removed any point in HS moon mining.
For me, mining was a social activity in our corp, along with other people. These changes mean there is no point in keeping 3 of my accounts running any more, and not worth the fuel cost of operating the Athanors.
We mine, build & sell ships and modules. We are not a big group so the profits aren’t massive, but enough to keep things interesting. I doubt many small corps will see any value in keeping their Athanors running after this.
We all know CCP swings the bat way too far when controversial changes arise (and slowly inches back to something more reasonable), but this?
I really don’t understand how such a bunch of intelligent guys like the creators of EVE can still be so stupid and have no notion at all who are they public. - who is their audience…
There are lots of players that are introverts and that love the game. All they want is to mind their own business and get richer and richer without interacting with other people. They mine, they go on missions and live very well without the chasing of the bullies, their fowl language and losing ships. - Still CCP has not realized that and once again is desperately trying to send us all to null.
probably the stupidest maneuver ever.
I have played Eve off and on for a very long time, yet again, I am forced out. This time I only had a 3 person corp, we were going to keep mining until we could get a moon setup, we did go to moons others had mined just to get some of the ores we could not get due to our size, we never took more than 2 orca loads, so was not really effecting the output much and no-one ever asked us what we were doing so we figured they did not mind. Whenever we tried to go to even a .4 system to try to mine a little, we just got ganked as we did not even have the skills or ships to defend against a T2 or T3 ship. so for us losec mining was just not possible. We tried on several occasions to talk to big corp people about maybe allowing us in, but what can a 3 person corp offer to a large group of people? Practically nothing. This change will now make it even harder to go on a mining trip into belts where you get chased off by T3 triglavion ships or killed by them if you do not run fast enough, or some other ships eating the belts before you get out of bed for the day (USA player). Perhaps a 2 or 3 year break will make the game viable again for us and we could come back, but for now, I have to say these changes make it not worth $15 to play on the occasional rate I am used to.
100% agree with Kligron. We also have a three person corp. We are running a single hi-sec moon drill. It was worth the fuel cost to us at a break even level to sell some and put the rest into manufacturing. It was breakeven work but that’s what a small corp is. We tried lo-sec but got ganked time and again (some of it was our own stupidity so I don’t blame CCP for that) but unless we were willing pay extortionist corps 4+B a mo for some “protection” we couldn’t use whatever goo we did mine and we couldn’t access some of the more lucrative manufacturing options due to the high-sec restrictions. We simply don’t make enough to pay the extortionists. While I do understand the need to rebalance the economy, it seems as if CCP’s sole focus is the damned economy. This is coming at the expense of playability. If you only make it harder for small corps who can’t afford to operate anywhere but high-sec to be profitable enough to enjoy a larger subset of the game content, then what do you believe the end result is going to be.
Trit can be found in large amounts in Trig conduits.
If you have good fleets and transport you can gain large amounts for each one you mine.
And once done you just need to clear a conduit and then start mining again. Conduits appear faster than a 10 ship mining fleet could clear a single conduit, i think about 15 conduits can be done in the time a single conduit is mined by a 10 ship mining fleet (2x Orca, and 8 exhumers, near maxed skilled).
So if you can find a conduit in your own manufacturing system or within 2, your set, though you’ll need at least 2x transport alts to move the amount of mined ore.
So it’s more a case of looking for alt solutions. The trig conduits is one of many options.
I can tell you as a fact I am not pulling down any where near 60M isk per hour running missions with one toon. Heck Level 4 missions with loot + salvage in High Sec are doing well to make 30M isk per hour at BEST. I have never been able to diplicate any isk per hour that anyone has ever shared on this forum. So either everyone is blowing smoke or the loot RNG is screwed.
I am not inclined to beleive that as I have had direct contact with the players stating there number/isk. Ran the same fits with the same skills and running a single toon like them. I believe that a lot of isk/numbers on the forum are blowing smoke.
