No they use orca for its drones, as it’s a drone mining ship, like the VNI was used for its drones as it’s a drone combat ship. (same for gila)
and that’s how it’s supposed to be. Just because people can use 20-ppl trash fleet catalysts to gank people, does not make it something good for the game.
The thing you don’t understand it’s not about drone or strip miner Jesus it’s about going afk for a large amount of time so you use the ship that will not waste it’s time loking at rock doing nothing.
It’s not. It’s about the ship being too expensive for you to gank it with a 2M catalyst, and so you crying about it.
Nobody cares if he’s AFK for ten hours. He is not mining for ten hours.

My orca ore is full after 2h6m. Assuming the rocks are huge enough.
This is a non-problem you are complaining about.
The only issue I can see, is that mining AFK should not be worth, for anybody. CCP tried to change that with the triglavians, but it’s just that the whole gameplay is plainly bad : no interaction, no optimization.
However, being active is already much more worth than being passive. The issue being, that being passive should be 0% of the active value : if you are AFK, you should not mine anything.
This is not doable with something like forcing drone/laser deactivation, because THAT would literally not affect botters.
I will stop argu because the only thing you are understanding is : He complain about not being able to gank or the orca being OP. Instead of the amount of player/alt that roam around safe from anything saturating market is not healty for the game.
But like said Nevyn Auscent CCP removed base ore from moon.
Let’s hope that Redistrubution phase is not rush.
And for me the orca is not a mining platforme but a boosting platforme if CCP want to get ride of it make it unable to mine and give him better boost so it stay at it’s primary role.

look at the MER and HS production. What is that saturating ? Nothing. Because the AFK orca have a lower yield than a noobship with only one laser and no skill (and that’s assuming all HS mining is done with AFK orca, which is just completely wrong).
You can ignore reality as much as you want, only makes you delusional. Nobody gives a fck about your distorted opinion. The orca is a logistic, mining and boosting platform, that is only better in its role as a boosting platform.

one orca have same mining potential as a skiff, and there is like 50 afk orcas per system. Seems u really understimate this ■■■■■■■■ mate

Try make a tour in 0.5 systems mate, exemple of Trash Murkon : Ivih, Anjedin , hibi. If u go to Sing Leason region, u have like 9 0.5 systems with 50+ orcas daily ( like system Augnais or Jolia ) .
