As someone who can’t go into a casino and can’t buy lottery tickets of any sort, I am absolutely disgusted at CCP for putting this sort of things into a game I love and have been playing for more years than I care to count. I’ve had to completely step away from this game due to this mechanic as I find myself constantly spending more and more isk on it. To date around 70b. At the point I was about to buy plex to continue I realized how bad it actually was. I know that this is a personal problem for me, but for CCP to clearly be taking advantage of people like my self is ■■■■■■■ disgusting. I’m currently weighing the options of cancelling my 12 accounts for good as that more I think about it, the more I’m finding it hard to justify giving my money to such predatory behavior.
I know there are trolls that will say undocking is a gamble, shooting your guns is a gamble, etc… but those who are a bit more adult than that will understand what I’m saying. Shame on you CCP. Shame on each and every one of you.
You realize that there isn’t a modern game company out there that doesn’t psychologically abuse the players, right? In EVE it’s not just mutaplasmic gambling, CCP is doing it all over the place. In the launcher, on their website, in their ads and in the game. In devblogs and in interviews.

The fact that people here are assuming I’m a teenager or close to that is amusing as I’m in my 40s. I dealt with gambling when I got out of the Army before most of them were probably out of diapers.
The assumption that I don’t have friends because I play this game with multiple accounts just proves my point of the childish responses that I figured I would get to this. I still hold hope that there are actual adults that play this game as well as the immature trolls that are joining on in this. However, it seems to be the common theme of a lot of Eve players to mock people on the forums rather than have serious discussions. It might have something to do with your OP and the way you wrote it as if you can’t buy lotto and enter casino due to being a minor.
Interesting reply. I have had people same damn near the exact same things about guys I served with when they died of drug overdose when not receiving the help they needed from the VA.
For all the bad I’ve witnessed here in Eve, I’ve also found a lot of good caring and exceptional people - as in real life. I’ve never struggled with a gambling issue but for over a decade of my life I was actively addicted to opioids and was an IV user - meaning I do understand the addiction part and know how quickly others can be to judge and cast the first stones without even knowing where they are aiming if you get my metaphor.
As to the childish people, mocking, and shite comments - hey atleast you know who to separate yourself from as unhealthy people.
