My Thread for Features and Improvements

This thread is a place for me to post little things I would like to see available for EVE Online. They may not be particularly novel, unique, or desired by the development staff but nonetheless I will continue updating this post as ideas come to mind. These are all based on my experience in the game and if they aren’t entirely self-explanatory I am willing to expand on them.

Features - EVE - Most of these I would pay real money for.

A combat Hotkey for cycling between Target Locked ships.

New first-person layouts or different layouts and aspects for ships. I would have expected different instruments such as radar, scanning panels, maps, and so on to be viewable from the cockpit perspective. Seeing physical knobs and boards would be terrible to have included as it would blind much of the screen but different directional indicators for other objects and vessels and so on are disappointing to not have included.

The ability to change my characters original faction.

The ability to change my characters Corvette.

The ability to delete my Corp. history prior to current Corp.

The ability to change my School Station.

The ability to change my Career Agents list.

The ability to change the size, scale, or layout of my Ship HUD so numbers do not overlap. (The percentage of shield, armor, hull that overlap the camera buttons)

Add a “Reload Any” button above “Overloading Racks.”

Hyper Gates for extremely long distances for alliances. As Caldari+Amarr it would be great to be able to more readily travel between their core systems.

Fix “Cannot Keep (Harvestable Resource) At Range.” This button on the selected item panel above the overview is blank when selecting resources even though I can still use the hotkey. Sometimes I prefer to use the mice and this is inconvenient.

The ability to change the Ship Fitting default inventory category. It opens up to my hangar inventory rather than the ships and it would be more preferable for me to open to the ships inventory.

Add a Ships Log: My thinking on this is like how in Star Trek they have a knowledge database that can be accessed for information about known systems, races, governments, and so on. I think it would be great to have this type of reading material on the lore of EVE and so on.

More to come. :alien_monster:

So, each character is tied to a different faction, due to race.

This is solely based on your faction (see above)

HAHAHAH that will never happen.. can you say spy..

you do realize you can use any career agent, not just the one for your faction you know that right?

bottom line, if you want a different faction, create a new character.

You’re not in a cockpit. You’re a capsuleer, floating in a pod of goo, connected to a neural interface that turns a spaceship into your body. You flip switches and pull triggers with your mind, not your fingers.

In EVE, choices have consequences. The first choice is your race and empire. The next choice is who you associate with.

Already can.

This would damage EVE’s economy, entrench Jita’s monopoly, and likely kill off every secondary market hub. For regional economies to thrive, the empires should be more distant from one another, without hisec connections between.

I like the ability to remotely teleport to my school system at any time without cooldown (set home station → school system, self-destruct pod), but wouldn’t it be way too strong if I also had control over placing my destination (that school station) in different places in the universe?

Too powerful.

Also besides jumping back to your school system once in a while for a quick trip to HS or to stock up on skill books with a discount there rarely is a reason to use that school system.

Why change it?

If you wish to be able to teleport to Jita more easily I can recommend jump clones.

Corvettes are worthless beyond the tutorial. And you can get them for free at any station, or cheap on the market.

You also can make three characters per account, maybe have one of your other characters make the Corvette of your choice if you really wish to have one.

lol no.

Can you think of why this is a bad idea or do you need an explanation?

Absolutely irrelevant.

Not one single idea here is good or original. What it does is display your profound misunderstanding of the game you’ve chosen to play.
