We are aware of the certificate errors - they should be fixed asap.
I have the same problem.
Cliente version: 1927046
Launcher version: 1924823
Launcher UI version: 6.5.9
MacOS BigSur 11.5.1
MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
Chip Apple M1
Memory: 8 GB
The certificate issues should be fixed now.
Now it works. thanks
That makes me wonder what that App is sitting in that folder. B/c you can double click it and it runs starts eve to the old log in screen.
I’m still having the same blackscreen issue as Yuan Navaja and Alexsandre Makan reported above, even with today’s update. I DO now see the cursor, which I didn’t until this update. But I cannot escape out to pick a non-fullscreen view, log in, or etc.
The prior Mac beta a few months back ran beautifully on the same machine. It’s a 2015 iMac, High Sierra 10.13.6, with a Radeon R9 card.
Would it be possible for you to download the complete client? You can do this in the launcher by turning on the “Download the full EVE game client” setting shown below. The screenshot is from a Windows machine (I’m away from my Mac at the moment), but it should more or less be the same.
I’m really curious if this is Download on Demand related. This is a way to rule that out.
I usually have the “full download” option checked. Assuming that setting “counts” on SiSi too, I don’t think that’s what is causing the blackscreen. The current version is actually letting me click on stuff with the now-visible cursor, so if I click where I know my character banner is, it does log in – it’s just still blackscreened. Hmmm.
This is very odd I can’t think of any major changes we have done to cause this.
We don’t support 10.13 and have not tested against it, as 10.14 will be the lowest we are likely to target.
As a last attempt, could you try verifying the cache inside the launcher? I’ve seen black screens caused by a bad cache and it’s another easy one to eliminate.
Cache looks OK. I’ll update the OS and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the quick replies!
I play on a 2014 MacBook Air with everything set to po-ta-to (low/disabled). But I can still manage the market and some light ganking. I saw about a 60% increase in my FPS from flying around the playtest, and the fan on my MacBook Air didn’t even start when I stay docked. Everything still on po-ta-to but much improved.
Good job CCP!
MacBook Air 2014, Mac OS Big Sur 11.5.2, Dual-core 1.4 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD 5000, more killmails than you.
That was it – it was the OS version. Up and at 'em under Big Sur. Thanks for the suggestion!
BUG (?): Mouse Cursor Lag
Noticing a very short but distinct lag (while in space) at the moment I start to move my camera. It feels not dissimilar to a combination of dropping a bunch of frames everytime I move the camera (my fps is stable in reality) and having to overcompensate with more drastic mouse movement. There seems to be no delayed response anywhere else (so far). I play on 4000 dpi, 0.40 in-game sensitivity. This doesn’t seem to be an issue when I use my trackpad. I can see this lag in response being very annoying/disorientating in pvp though.
Also is there anyway to use an existing user profile as part of the mac client? Redoing hotkeys is a pain but the main thing is I can’t seem to find a corresponding prefs.ini for doing “bracketsAlwaysShowShipText=1”. Kinda important, need it for the ongoing at practices.
2018 15" MBP, Intel i7 6core 2.6ghz, Radeon pro 560x.
(System is not stressed under just a single client. Awesome improvement, thanks!)
Edit: noticing this lag when resizing UI windows as well
Excellent! Thanks for confirming this worked
also unable to import an overview that had its file modified outside of the eve client.
(more specifically, able to import overview if “general overview settings” is unchecked and left out of import, otherwise unable to)
edit: this build seems to disallow overviews that have had the (in space) “ship distance” font formatted. I thought this was just a mac client issue but corpie reported the same thing on pc.
Awesome Work, i´ve teset it on MBP M1 16GB and Mac Mini M1 8GB.
My screen is a Lg 38" Curved 3840x1600.
Had most settings to High.
Performance and Gfx are on a new level.
I´ve playd a few hours small scale pvp. Had no Problems.
Only Problem, you cant force Vsync. No difference between Interval one and immediate.
Results unnecessary heat.
I’ve just noticed a weird bug when using the client on an external monitor: when I move the cursor from the main monitor to the client monitor, the brightness drops a bit as does the FPS, when I move the cursor back to the laptop monitor, the brightness increases for a bit and so does the FPS…
MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
macOS 11.5

Interestingly, between the updates yesterday, I’m now seeing a bunch of mouse skipping/lag – but only on TQ. Maybe it’s a Wine update thing? SiSi is totally smooth and playing extremely well.
Hi,
This play test on Singularity has concluded now. Singularity has been updated with a new build (the same as on Tranquility), so you’ll receive the Wine client again.
Thanks a bunch for participating in the play test and thanks for all your feedback and bug reports.
