Both of them have been banned multiple times.
When they do a perma-ban on the forums, CCP makes an “offer” to the recipient, which basically entails them never coming back here, not even on alts (they can tell unless you proxy and VPN everything from the moment of account creation), and if you do, you lose access to your accounts in-game as well.
I think that helps my point. Neither of those people are pro-ganker, which means that the ISD’s aren’t ganker pets singling out nerf-gankers for censorship.
Once again, I think they’ve made some mistakes; so I won’t defend every decision they’ve made. However, I don’t think there’s clear evidence of bias of here. Moreover, I’m not keeping up with all aggravating circumstances and mitigating evidence for every forum poster, and will never see any apologies or promises to behave that might be included in an appeal. Thus, I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Besides, I’ve got to kiss plenty of ISD ass if I want to keep getting special treatment.

I should have never said those things because… because some “they” decided that those things are taboo and shouldn’t be said -not even on the forums of a “game for dads” with an average player age of 34.

Maybe I should intentionally get banned though. No more internet nerd fights… reclaim more of my free time. If I were to do it, it would have to be epic though. I’d want to do something that people would be talking about for years.

Despite CCP’s attempts over the years to nerf and nerf and nerf PvP in HiSec, all they’ve (mostly) done (with the exception of killing off WarDecing for the most part) is add even more mechanics for us to use against the unwary and bad. It’s great fun.

Most of our targets are null-trash trash unloading their AFK-farmed hoards or making shopping trips. I wish it were more than that, but at least Aiko has the high-sec resident aspect of it covered, although ganking is in a rapid decline due to the EHP buffs.
High-sec PvE grinders in war-immune corporations and flying passive-tanked setups have effectively become invincible, however.

Actually no, first off I’m a legit new player but I’ve been on forums long enough and seen stupid ■■■■ like that happen fairly regularly especially in community heavy games, so you can take your tinfoil hat off and ill take it as a compliment.
The fact that you’re calling it censorship just solidifies my suspicions about some of the motives here. As for impartiality there’s more than one person who moderates the forums so lumping them into the generalization of “oh all of them are so impartial oh so good and very neutral” says a lot about how you categorize people.
Most of the mods are pulled directly from the player base, so naturally any given person here has a bias of some kind, weather or not it governs their decisions is another argument. But the mod doesn’t even have to be biased, they could have just made a mistake like all of us are capable of.
Which if I was a mod on a forum of this size I probably would skim a post that a user flagged and look for key words to confirm the flag. I don’t blame them one bit.
Who I do blame is members of a community who should know better than to immediately discredit other peoples point of view, as their own perspective shouldn’t be the say all be all right and wrong in their own mind.
They should know better than to bully potentially new long lasting community members into submission so that they leave. Because ultimately this game wont go out with a bang, it will fizzle out until enough people that can fill a room are left bitching at each other and when the money doesn’t keep coming, someone WILL pull the plug.
But anyway yeah, his comment did get merged from a thread… that I started.
So take your own advice bud.

Take a closer look at the interaction that goes on in here. Most of what you consider “bullying new players” is actually public mockery of old, established vets for being serial whiners and complainers. The predominant interaction with new players is help and advice, unless they come to the forums, and the first thing they do is insult the game, its developers, and its community because they had some kind of unfavorable experience. At the point they go on a cuss-filled rant, they lose whatever leeway they have to be treated more gently than established players.
Can you even provide a few instances of genuinely new players being bullied here? Link some examples.

I mean not me, I suggested that there were issues with the game and how its currently setup. Didn’t say anything negative about the devs, the mods, or even the player base until after I realized who it was that occupied the forums. Oh those poor vets, I’m sure they’re well known for being angels.
as for peeling through the forums for every player that’s been bullied, yeah I wont do that.

Was that person bullied? I think that the responses they received were exactly in line with the hyperbole-laden posts they made that were full of asinine ideas that effectively amounted to “remove the PvP from high-sec.”
How do you think people would’ve responded if that person said that they got ganked (or whatever) and asked for advice to ensure that it wouldn’t happen again?

It’s almost like your intimate knowledge of the game, your uncanny ability to sweep other players experiences that don’t fit your narrative under the rug as “well, it’s just the roll of the die, or built different…” just screams…
