None of you are adding anything new, It’s all been said before.
The game is going to die, It got handed to a Korean Publisher. It’s ■■■■■■… We might get another couple years.
mmmhhhmmm, never heard that before. But agree pretty pointless in this thread, I could try a different thread not sure it is any difference.

Game will not die as long as FW is done well when it finally comes out it will breath new life into Eve.
Thats how, not why
Its not broken, they intended them to function that way.
Why do you think that is?
PA isn’t the problem. The previous owners were worse.
People like to point at anything and everything, such as ganking, but the game really contains the seeds for it’s own destruction.
No sane game developer would ever allow the following 4 combinations to exist in their game:
1 unlimited multi-accounting AND passive income streams such as PI
2 multi-boxing AND low-APM, semi-AFK activities
3 loot-PvP MMO gameplay AND high paying, instanced PvE
4 selling skillpoints for a living AND allowing skill-injector trade between players
Smart players can try to get away from worst activities for as long as possible, but the resulting total grind will eventually affect all activities in the game.
That carebears are shouting the loudest over the rest and increasingly drowning everything else out, is the result of this game becoming an increasingly hard sell to PvP gamers.
All the hardcore PvPers call EVE players scrubs and if we are being completely honest with ourselves, even the best of us are playing the game like scrubs, out of pure necessity.
Yeah like anyone here gives a crap what moba and Fortnight kids have to say.
Can’t sell the game to oldskoolers either. The Nintendo-hard generation also won’t put up with crap.
Im not sure you know what you mean.
I’ve just returned recently and I’m ignoring all the microtraction crap.
Also I played BDO… ■■■■ me…
I mean, those old NES era games are hard and unforgiving, but also focused. No crap on the side.
Street fighter 2 still has fans for that reason.
Eh… It’s quite easy to focus a game that has one element to it…
Yes, I was there.
I was even there for the Atari era, when there werent even words in games.
I imagine most people who have played EvE the longest do too.
One of the best games of 1984 was Elite, the game that would inspire EvE.
Im guess Im not following what you are saying. Never worry.
I just dont see what the opinions of some twitch-streaming fps playing mentally 12 yearold people have to do with much, really.
Just this: it’s why this game gets PvE players instead of PvP players.
It’s now easier to sell the game to carebears than to competitive gamers.
Ok if you say so.
I dont think they are trying to sell it to anybody, currently. If anything it seems like they are trying to put everyone off.
Eh I’m only here for pvp.
There’s no such thing as a “PvE player” nor a “PvP player”. However, there are “players that whine about ganking” and “those that don’t”.
That is where you are consistently wrong. Of course Eve has to have a pre-determined lore in order for any kind of a world to exist…but that is really just a tautology and not a definition of the nature of a game.
What you keep missing is that Eve is a multiplayer game. The ‘M’ in MMO means ‘multiplayer’. That means the whole purpose of people logging in is to interact with other players…otherwise Eve might as well be a solo game with just NPCs.
20,000 people all logging in to do PvE would be utterly pointless. There would literally be no point in creating a multiplayer game if the bulk of play did not consist of player vs player interactions. Thus the true core of Eve has to be PvP, as that is the only thing that gives ‘multiplayer’ any actual meaning.
You are keeping us all on the edge of our seat, just give us the answer you want to share.
