Okay, I was being snarky, and there might be a bit of a language barrier here. So, let me try to speak more clearly.
Upping the cost of war decks won’t solve the problem of people feeling like they are being picked on by larger groups that they can’t fight back against. It will just encourage war deckers to coalesce into larger groups, to make war decking more affordable and isk efficient, which will just exacerbate this “problem.”
Moreover, war decs are completely opt in, and there are definitely ways for small groups to fight back. So, I dunno, maybe there’s a better way to deal with war decks than lobby for it to become harder and harder to participate in the activity while simultaneously incentivizing them to adopt strats that ultimately result in war targets feeling even more helpless.
Hmm. I probably could have worded that more clearly still. Let me try one more time…
Raising the cost of war decks won’t fix any issues, and just make things worse for everyone involved. But, everything looks like a nail when you’re a hammer, and enemies always need to be nerfed when you have a victim mentality.
Nope, loot is not enough for all. A Raitaru core or Athanor core cost round about 600 millions.
I totaly disagree. You cant fight back because war-deck groups are just founded for that. In the meantime the accounts are in a other corp.
Do me a favor and stop to write your … about this topic. You cant write anything because you never were in that situation. Or you wouldnt write like that.
Yeah, this thread has been going on so long, I’m now arguing the same points over and over in the same thread. So, here we go again.
Naturally, you can make games that have broad appeal, and that is good from a financial perspective. However, it is impossible to make a game that appeals to everyone, as some players have mutually exclusive desires. Thus, you have to chose who your target audience is.
CCP chose their target audience a long time ago when they decided what type of game they wanted to make…
However, there does appear to be some money men at CCP that want chase the dollars of people who don’t actually want to play the game that CCP made, and there are a crap ton of people who seem to think that any game that doesn’t cater to their specific tastes “is stupid.” They don’t understand how risky and difficult it is to pivot a product in order to appeal to different tastes, and somehow fail to grasp that changing the game to suit their tastes, means that it will stop appealing to the people that already love it for what it is.
For the umpteen trillionth time…MMO quite literally means multiplayer. The very term itself tells you it is player versus player. Nobody sets up a solo player server for 20,000 people !
You have been told numerous times that EVE means ‘everyone versus everyone’
Just how cognitively dissonant a troll are you that you need to be told these things again and again and again and again…and they still don’t sink in !
How is that guy not banned on forum yet? This is clear trolling and it was apparent long time ago. Just stop feeding him, this is the only way considering that ISDs don’t do their job.
Amarr Space is so dead. I was sitting on a ganker-fortress for a half hour. Traffic Zero…
I was that bored that I have done some ratting. I got a escalation in Amarr-Low sec and was able to do it without being attacked…
It’s like me whining to the International Chess Federation that I really don’t like that knights can jump over other pieces and that ability should be removed from the game as the sudden arrival of a knight from nowhere is griefing and not fair.
Never mind that the ability of knights to jump over pieces has been part of the game for 500 years and is encoded in the very fabric of the game. I’m gonna tell the ICF that my poor defenceless pawn that was just sitting there minding its own business got taken by a knight that unfairly just jumped over a bunch of other pieces…and such dastardly activity is clearly not what the game is about.
That is quite literally this thread, in a nutshell.
Das scheint mir jetzt aus dem Kontext gegriffen zu sein.
Daher werde ich ab jetzt alles in meiner Muttersprachen komentieren.
Ich brauch keine Typen die keinen Schreibfehler überlesen können.
That’s only true below 10 suicide destroyers. Above 10, and DPS is king as it takes some time for the sentry guns to get around to killing the destroyers, and the additional damage will have a chance to get used.
You are conflating and confusing game mechanics. Tethering is available to all, and in the same way THEY can’t gank you while tethered, you cannot do the same to them.
That’s the entire point of the sandbox gameplay. Everybody has the same set of rules. They chose to gank until their sec status was below -5, which makes Concord and police look the other way when you gank them, but the safe spots are safe for everybody.
Now, bumping alts and other such “grey” areas that clearly harm in an aggressive means yet does not count as an attack… perhaps you would have something worth discussing.
