It would be like adding the Trigs to the game, and it would become part of Eve life. And lore is the story behind almost all our ships and modules. How the empires had their industrial revolution, what it lead to, and how the map is drawn and feeds into lots of activities like faction warfare and dead space.
But getting off-topic I guess there is a lot out there and the stories explain why we have what in-game.
I never posted in forums until now, use to read from time to time but never paid much attention to them. It is a long post I will scroll through it a little more, saw jukebox, and yes agree there, I am sure other things listed that will bring back good memories.
This is separate from the Null sec gank life wormhole surprise entry. This is a different idea from that, of something more simple to implement then full on pirate faction change. The old high sec bait limited engagement timer would still prevail if still a thing.
New idea, it is a little mixed up, so I will give you that. This would be standalone and separate from the other.
But even in the other scenario if someone goes yellow, you can engage, you won’t have to move around between corps for your clarification.
Pretty draft indeed, think of it as brainstorming. I know you hate everything I write that is okay Altara, it doesn’t bother me, so keep it coming.
Thats not why I asked you to read it. I would like you to understand the mindset of the players and why the game dropped from 50/60k to what we have now. Players like you brought us here without even knowing it. I had to watch.
High Sec got the brunt of it, but looking at the destruction numbers if you were new to the game, that had to come as a shock in awe. I am sure it caused some to leave no doubt.
I have said it before NPC kills and Human kills are different. I have been killed by both more than once, as most and the effect is different. But I can also say going into a PvP battle and being killed is very similar to NPC kill. It is a mind set, you are going somewhere to fight for what you think is yours. Could go on, but hope you get the gest of it.
This where we differ. From the sound of it , you should join a pvp corp and see how it actually works. You seem to have no actual experience with it? I came into the game for the pvp. What that taught me was when I became part of the foodchain, I already knew enough to not get eaten.
I disagree look at any major MMO and it always releases spikes and goes down. It is about CCP keep fresh content and keeping new players in the game. Is the game dying, do we need to change something, do we need more content, what do the different groups like and dislike and how to improve that.
This is why we are here, not an end all be all; fixing ganks isn’t going to spike PCU numbers up. But it is one step that will help.
Other things need to be done in-game, and I am sure their thread is out there somewhere.
I am referring to larger fleet battles or even gangs really. You want to be there, but it happens, your ship blows up, sometimes you are SRP sometimes not. No one goes in saying we want to get wiped but it happens too. I mean you are choosing to engage in that PvP and can be a lot of fun.
You missed the part I was trying yet again to explain to you. But since were both so bored with the game, I’ll help you turn oxygen into greenhouse gasses.
That didn’t last long, but I guess you are an everything is perfect, but we need better content, but everything is great, but people are leaving for other games, but don’t worry, everything is perfect.
Its okay MB I get it, you enjoy the game, you don’t think there is an issue and you are here on the Nerf Ganking thread of all places being apart of it. More power to you.
I get your point, MB it just has no added value to the Nerf Ganking Megathread. If you want to point out something specific, maybe type it out better where it is more understandable. In the context you wrote, I responded. If you had an underlying point I should have picked up, clarify it. And relate it to the thread and how it supports or doesn’t support ganking in highsec.
