Says the guy who frequently fails to address the actual substance of people’s arguments, and instead tone polices or simply resorts to calling things meaningless drivel.
But, hypocrisy aside, what evidence could I present to you that would meet your burden of proof. I mean, if you don’t trust me to be telling the truth when it comes to my personal experience, why would you trust me when it comes to killboards or video evidence. I mean, couldn’t you just accuse me of not play a lot on those characters, cherry picking my clips, and/or be getting a free pass thanks to my “ganker connections.” Truth is, there is no evidence I could present to you that would meet your burden of proof.
You could, however, read through my “how not to be ganker bait” suggestions, and replicate my success for yourself if you were so inclined.

Sometimes the substance or premise of things are not worth addressing or worth any kind of decent discourse if at all. That accounts for most of anything said on this forum. Despite how well worded and articulated things may seem, it is still just turd.

That has very much been applied to my experience and suggestions too.
So you went off on a side tangent then which had nothing to do with counter play for a player to avoid being ganked which was what he was talking about. So you just wanted to say how wonderful you were, though good job on Snuggly Guy. Codename and I went after him several days back and made him move systems and reduced his rate of ganking but he went to other systems to gank there and did not go for the ones I was waiting on. Does it count as a success if they see me in local and gank elsewhere in your eyes, or is Zkill the only measure of your success?
That depends on your objective. My objective is to actively hunt - rather than deterring gankers by sitting in a system and scaring them off with my reputation alone (lol).
Zkill doesn’t show the times that I’ve taken a catalyst into hull and they abandon the gank attempt.
It wasn’t really a tangent. You were suggesting that a cloaked loki wasn’t an effective counter play. I beg to differ.

Stop being a child and I won’t call you one. I was set up close to a target and he went to another system to gank. And before you or anyone else says anything I was in a Loki. It is a good method to prevent ganks and get kills, however my own experience is that many gankers will move system because I am there. So I asked you whether that is a success in your book, at least you did admit that you got many into hull and they warped out, but you need to use a faction point.
Okay. I don’t know if Drac is intentionally trying to thread snipe, or if he is just frustrated and flailing. But I don’t want to see the thread get shut down. So, please try to take the high road, and avoid name calling and personal attacks.
Avoidance is absolutely a form of counterplay.
EvE mining is supposed to be a game of cat and mouse. And the mouse plays best when it’s actively avoiding.

Avoidance…, lets say I am a single account player and I love doing SOE missions in my Marauder. Is the only option to avoid doing SOE missions in a Marauder entirely and just stick to a T1 BS with T2 fits?
I noticed that several people complained over the last year of being ganked as they moved to missions from the mission hub while in their Marauder, one guy even moved to a less rewarding mission hub and was still ganked, last I saw he had stopped playing. That is avoidance…, is it not?
Still CCP did increase the tank’s of BS’s including marauders if plates and extenders are fitted. Another avoidance is of course using a tanked/travel fit which is what I did but if it was 40+ gankers my tank was not enough, so that scout was needed. Of course and MWD, and MJD along with the plates enables options, but…
I have not used my twin Paladins for a long time…, and in truth cannot see any good reason to do so because the risk is too high and it gets a pain having to drop MD’s and change the fit in systems that have no station.
The issue with ganking is that it is carried out by mult-account players against mainly single account players and that the counter play for the single account player is rather limited. Why did you think that I suggested that the Freighter should have a spectrum lock breaker module or something that enabled quicker warps as an option in a single mid module option.
The issue is that with the increase in real life cost of subs and the large increase in the cost of plex, more people will be exposed to the reality of this ganking. Over time there will be less gankers as the same dynamic will apply to them, but many gankers have huge war chests. I think CCP will have an issue because by increasing the cost like they did I think many people are looking at two accounts and going nah, and then nah I am too vulnerable… I don’t play with just one account, and I am currently debating whether to continue with this level of RL cost which is more than I can justify seeing as I am getting close to a top level game cost for one months worth of play for two accounts…
