I haven’t blocked him yet. And if I do it, I will definitely not read his posts just to make sure you aren’t right.
You can’t resist. Though maybe you will use an alt just to try proving me wrong. But you will know and only that matters. So I win either way.
Suicide Ganking in High Sec is like the Mega Millions lottery.
Taken from a lottery winner.
High Sec Gankers hate this one simply trick, but it’s not an exploit.
When asked why people are obsessed with the lottery, Sacerdote said, “for certain small bets we are ‘risk loving.’ That is to say we are willing to make a poor expected value bet for the chance to have an enormous ‘transformative’ gain.”
Basically the ‘small bet’ that is wagered are cheap ships and pods where the ganker is willing to make the poor expected value bet not because there is a ‘chance’ to have an enormous transformative gain, but because there is ALWAYS an enormous transformative gain.
There is no risk involved in high sec ganking becaue the ganker’s always have a cargo ship, an orca, on standby to scoop the loot. Even if the gankers were to be war decced to kill the cargo ship, the gankers would simply turn to a neutral Capsuleer in an NPC corporation that can’t be war decced to haul their loot out with.
So every time the gankers decide to gank in High Sec, it’s always a win, without any risk, other than ganker generated risk of failure to create the illusion of risk, where the payout is always in the hundreds of millions in either booty or target ship loss or a combination of both.
So yes, ganking in High Sec is an actual exploit, because unless the ganker’s actually fail on purpose, the NPC defense system will never defeat a 15 Catalyst ship gank, that is when all 15 Catalyst ships are fit with the normal ganking mods and haven’t been nerfed, such as lower powered guns, no Mag stabs, etc. to create the illusion of proof that a gank can fail and thus risk is involved.
So you are saying that gankers are pewpew hypernet addicts and that they are also not real PvPers?
You said that.
I said what I said
You say good bye, I say hello…so no no no.
You didn’t even introduced yourself let alone say hello.
Myth: Ganking hurts player retention
Ganking does hurt player retention because CODE and their Permit agents would constantly harass players to buy a permit and would gank the player until the player bought a permit and or joined Code.
I also think High Sec ganking has caused some serious problems with the mining aspect of the game as a whole.
Look I summoned a monster.
That’s some long intro, so you are a safety agent?
This is all your fault and karma will make sure you will pay the price eventually.
DrysonBennington needs no introduction, Uriel, to Haunters of the Forum
It was a nice break though…
Admit it you all missed him just too stubborn to say it openly.
It gets hard to tell them apart after a while. It’s all just one long REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Hahahahahaha and you lot get butthurt, insulting and moan about me, things could be a lot worse…
Whenever I see Dracvlad rant, I just skip ahead 20-30 posts.
I always have two Orcas on standby.
…and a
Wrong! You may know a few things, but in the big picture you are still clueless apparently:
-many ganks failed against meme fits
-many ganks failed because one multiboxer disconnected
-many ganks failed because one or two logi heroes could pull that off
-many ganks failed because the target could put a fight and won
-many gank looters died and the loot was lost or stolen by random people
-a lot of gank loot was simply stolen by passers-by or by dedicated ninja looters who will steal from anyone
-a lot of ganks never happened because the other people were doing their job in being a better player
-a lot of ganks never happened because plain content denial and understanding on mechanics
-a lot ganks were scapegoats for better haulers, who could figure there was an incomming gank and they let the autopilottig cargo fitted hauler go in front just to let them die! Just like cannon fodder for the better haulers could cross the system while the gankers were on timer
Now the good effects of the ganks:
-less obnoxious trades against me in the market
-miner on miner hate, the miners I know mostly hate the other miners and from behind the curtains they applaud when the other ore leech dies
-there is an entire pvp market and industry of war behind this
-iSK destruction, the gankers can profit or not, but the ISK destruction is always there and as a player you need that! Just like bacteria in the intestines
-even if you do not profit in the gank itself, you are indirectly profiting by the increased value of your assets if enough people die
-the other players will struggle a little more or at least hindered in becomming the next future whales and they are the ones who are truly toxic
-when there is no danger you can mindlessly fly around and the game becomes a little less interesting
-killing all those afk haulers/miners who truly simply belong to null and low sec miners, who are rich and then whine and cry about losing one cargo! They are all hidding their money and they do not accept help because that would require them to pay a little ISK to other people
-kill people who refuse to work together with other people, make them remember this is a MMO
-force people into creating better gameplay and better content for themselves and the people around them if they intend to survive
-kill all people who are mindlessly grinding the ISK
What we can sligtly agree @DrysonBennington?
I can sligtly agree that harassing the same person day after day and stomping the person over and over will make the person lose interest for the game and leave. We as a community are a bit at faul at that, for the stomping and for not reaching out who is not being stomped or the target not looking for help.
But even with the harassment the victim is also a bit at fault!
Why don’t they look for help? Look for people, go live somewhere else, find people to work together with you!
This is a MMO, a big part of the game is reaching out and building your strengh with others.
Also, the people who are targetted they don’t pay anything for help, they don’t want to work together in anything at all, then when they die they cry over and over.
INCOMMING EVE STORY:
Years ago, among the greed for ice, one newbro in a venture got ganked by alts of big miner, by a mining miner who mines, just because the multiboxing very rich high sec miner did not want to share a little bit of ice with that newbro in a venture. That’s how miners can be such bottom feeders!
So, I went to that system and brought the newbro in a Merlin, so I tried to extort the ice miner for just 10 milions… he refused my offer and said he had nothing to do with the gank.
So I made a better offer, pay 100 mil ISK to the newbro and everything would be fogotten, the ice miner refused my offer.
So i warped to his two catalysts on dscan at the sun and the cats warpped off to a station, I just wanted to see where was their home station. So I docked and made a better offer of 300 mil ISK… he said he wasn’t going to pay…
My last offer was 400 mil ISK to me instead of being to the newbro, otherwise his station would be killed in one month, he said he wasn’t going to pay anything!
So me and the newbro left the system and the newbro thanked me for making the game great, that was the most heart warming awesome thing I have ever heard from a newbro!
One month later the ice miner station was killed, all a coincidence, and the core was taken from him.
This story is not about me at all, this is about how to solve certain problems by working together and involving more people, about how you can make EVE a better game by playing around little stories which are good content! Do not expect content from any company, make your own content and it will always be better.
Since this is a MMO what people have to do is start looking around, working together and creating better content.
Pray tell. What is “the correct way?”
