EvE does imitate life in some ways.
If we discount those players with all those accounts, how would the player count look then?
Take away the skill farms and multi boxers with more than 2 accounts and we might well be into single figures, in fact I’d lay odds that we were.
I’d like to see your calculations to arrive at that number. 
Look at it this way…
If there are 15k users showing as online it could easily be 7.5k players with 2 accounts logged on. If someone has 20 accounts logged on then it’s even less individual players online.

My point is that the 15k users shown as online is false if you take away alts because alts aren’t individual players.
One guy with 30 accounts falsifies the count if you just count individual players rather than accounts logged in.

I can only agree. I played this game for ~11 years and tomorrow my sub runs out for the first time in those 11 years.
It feels like they ripped out or crippled everything that was fun in the last few years and added just more shitty PvE minigames. Also the outright hostility from CCP towards people who play with the game mechanics they created just takes the cake.
I’m done with this game and I can’t even think of anything they could to to get my interest back.
Not arguing mate, just wondering what the true count would be if CCP only counted one account per ip address to give a more realistic feel for how many individuals were logged on rather than accounts, I’m sure it should be possible.

My gut tells me that the true number is anywhere from 1/2 to 1/5 of the raw number.

And you? Do YOU have any data that clearly states it will be a failure to go all the casual way?
The players that are leaving are obviously casuals that critcize that the change is not going far enough…nearly NOTHING has changed for PVP beside of marginal inconviniences…so WHY should PVP leave…
