No free wars for free. As Dom indicated, this is will get abused fast.
If we have to stick true to the design, it has to be X wars by structures.

Drac wonāt admit heās wrong
Esp if Iām the one proving him wrong lol
Once you are done with your self-agrandizing and showing how honorable and how true-to-the-code of a PvPer you are, maybe you could consider that without a proper goal to end the war you are giving less incentive to the defender to fight back.
Since you are such a great PvPer, thatās what you want right? At least, in FacWar, thatās what we were looking for for years, TRUE FIGHTS with commited parties.
The point was that my system was to create such an event if they took out the citadel, they win big⦠Anyway, the example I gave you says it all.
Wow so you think that victories donāt occur from a single battle. That is gross stupidity, Eve has a lot of such events. ROFL, you mate are an utter joke.
A battle doesnāt win a war
Multiple battles doā¦
No, you are. Not an utter one, just tragic really.
You are falling for his bait, manā¦
I think the ability to close a corp and restart it with the same name is bad and I think tying wars to the character like I suggested is fair. Of course people will try to exploit it and if you are stupid enough as a CEO to accept someone who was in a war then there you go, though I would suggest that CCP put a warning in so it is a conscious decision.
You asked me not to call him a troll so look what it got me. Having said that it did enable me to make that point with VMG and Hard Knocks, which I was hoping to use at some point when people said you can win wars by defeating them⦠yeah right⦠, it does not apply to blanket war deckers and this is a great example of just how false his comment was. Anyway it has been fun and for him to call me a noob when I showed his bull for what it is, was worth it.
He even misses the fact that there was no ships blown up after that event even though the war dec continued for 13 days⦠it is comedy gold.
IMO he is Linus Gorp, and he is an out and out troll.
As if people ask why people left a corp⦠lmao
How dumb are you that you think most a highsec dwellers are intelligent?
This is also bait.
They ae trying to work you up so that you either get so belligerent that the thread devolves into ā ā ā ā -flinging and get closed, or they manage to work to your head.
In both cases, you lose.
If they are disrespectful, donāt engage them, that simple.
From a rookies perspective after reading everything I can about this mechanic, this entire thread can be summed up as thisā¦
āHow to get PvE players to PvP in a game that is 100% built around PvPā
If wardecks are usually PvP players fighting PvE players, how do you get the PvE players to engage in the actual war that has been declared against them? How do you give them incentives to fight back and PvP?
Very good insight. This is at the core of what we, me definitely included, try to figure out.
Not baiting, just making a cat herder fail at herding cats until one day he wakes up to his dilemma.
Only the simplest principals survive in EVE and when you think you only need to add a restriction here and a limit there will the players take it apart and use whatever works to fight their fights. When it no longer works will they resort to botting and RMT or just leave. All youāre doing is to herd cats and destroy EVE a little bit in the process.
Btw @Sukara_Vespara, if you are around, Iām still waiting for your answer.
Anyone on your side can answer too, although Iād think they would be too busy calling names or just reciting back mantras to properly answer it.
Thatās not it. Some will always avoid wars. Itās that some are weak PvPers and others are strong. The strong dominate the weak and the weak run to the forum and want CCP to fix it.
In EVE is everyone a PvPer, if they want to or not. And everyone does a little bit of PvE, too. Some just think theyāre great PvPers, but really they suck at it. In EVE as in life do you need to know your place or you donāt know where you came from or where youāre going to. And when you donāt know your place will all your plans and ideas only fail as soon as they meet with the reality.
Of course, that is their mode of operation, but I am sitting rather pretty after that VMG vs HKRAB example. To get salty and call me a noob and then go off on herding cats is classic troll defeat reaction. He was salty as hell.
The thing is that the blanket war decker is not bothered about defeats, they are after targets, which is why the loss of the war decs above 4 is such an important part of my proposal. People can end the war decs by taking down their citadel which will be three battles if they have an active module, two if notā¦
That was for me a lot of fun as a hardened Eve forum warrior and I now step back with glee and a big smile.
PS I am sure that he is Linus Gorp.
Look at this:
To end the war under my proposal takes three battles on the citadel, and he is too dumb to realise that!!! Comedy gold!!!
To be honest, after hearing how awful it is to reinforce citadels, even though I love the idea of the WarRoom and tying wardecs to structures, even I would not want to have to go through having to down even an Astrahus to end a war.
Lmao
That moment he admits being a forum warrior
Gg lads, heās an hardened troll
@Ima_Wreckyou look at this liquid gold
It is not that bad, seriously, today I was on a Fort kill which was damn epic. OK it was coming out of anchoring, but still they had more than us in sub caps, carriers and supers and ours were not in range. So we had to be smart and we won the objective and the ISK war. Was a great fight, another was te Fort kill against CVA, was a hum dinger of a battle.
The issue was previously with those bloody void bombs, thankfully that has gone. No they are doable and not that bad. For players like them having to shoot anything more than once is boring and not what they want to do. But to win at this game you just have to get on with it.
It is like dum dum telling me I have to do things, when I do things and he does not. Again comedy goldā¦
23 Citadels blown up including Keepstars and Forts, 9 EA 3 Refineryās, and in the past it was far worse, 18 SBUās, 16 TCUās 6 IHUBās and 29 control towers. It is not that bad, I donāt know why they whine about it so much.
As for dum dumās (that is a nick name that the Devils gave him) point about having more than ten people, well there is a damage cap of 5k per second on an Astrahus so 16 minutes.no matter how many people you bring. He doth complain too muchā¦
Not all all, mate. Iām just stunned at how someone can think wars would have to end with a single battle. You really got me on the floor with it.
