Someone asked me earlier today if I had any dreams for j-space what would they be. It could have been the blue pill booster talking, but I rattled off an idea, that at least I think might get a laugh, or maybe genuine interest.
I think it would be neat, if there were a select number of new wormhole systems added, not many like 3-5 max. We could call them blackhole systems, and they could be missing their suns and planets.
These systems, like shattered, would not allow anchoring.
They would not have a ship size restriction, at all, even titans.
No statics, all roaming all the time.
Random mass for the connecting hole.
Random time left for the connect.
Then the signatures would be random as well, and not just c1-6, but low sec / null sec - gas - ice, maybe even some of the triglavian sites/conduits, or even chem production facilities. the odds don’t have to be good on great sites, you can even have some sort of system where like the longer it goes undisturbed the better the signatures get. This creates a bit of a honey pot for all wh corps and explorers to find, it should discourage nomads from moving in similarly to shattereds, but be doable for the extremely tenacious and daring, and almost worthless for a corp to try setting up residence, but it should be able to get so full with goodies, that people might fight to keep it for a day, or to roach what they can or use it for an odd transportation route if needed especially if the connects are large enough at the time.
I think it’s an idea, and someone else thought it was good enough that they though I should share so there it is. I think it would be cool to have a few systems that could be a gold mine one day, a cap battlefield the next, useless on the following, and basically a crazy thera on another.
Drifter holes are cool, but what is it like just a few of us using them right?
