NFT's are Fundamentally a MLM-Type Scam Designed to Get You to Buy Crypto

Just to drive the nail in deeper. Took one search. It’s only a phenomena I really see on reddit and reddit is full of mundanes. The kind of mundanes who get told what to think and how to feel about different things based on the media they consume.

Before Galileo they would have been the ones regurgitating that the universe revolves around the earth and you’d be among the crowd shouting “execute the heretic” because of the things Galileo proclaimed.

Galileo (fils a papa, bourgoisie) was under arrest for heresy. No, not because of his scientific hypotheses, but because he was insistent on teaching that his hypotheses should be declared a dogmatic truth of the Church. He was warned repeatedly to stay in his lane (to do natural science and only natural science, and leave the Church out of it). Most people, especially those who had the luxury of caring about it, knew the earth was not flat and saw the flat eath as some ‘stage for the belief systems of that day’. Just like people knew those days that performing artists weren’t really the people from the stories.

I am glad I cleared these things up for you.

I dislike representatives who say they are for the people but act in contradiction to it.
Also, why do you look down on the ‘reddit plebs’? Are they not worthy your satoshi’s? :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I might exit from this thread, you seem to just want to deny FACTS and pretend they are not there and just push your own narrative, I don’t think you consider facts at all which is why your belief about finance/crypto seems a bit strange.

If these big compainies accept Bitcoin that that’s just what it is, they accept bitcoin. Why you’re bothering to try and argue it has no value when it clearly does is beyond me. and Amazon even put up a job vacancy on employment websites asking for “A Crypto Currency Specialist”

If you really think bitcoin is a scam at this point then there might be something wrong with your perception. You can see clearly that they are punishing anyone who steals bitcoin. You can clearly see people are investing trillions in it, you can clearly see people are investing in hardware to mine it. At what point do you realise ignoring facts is futile?

I’m not saying you have to agree with facts, just acknowledge the fact exists. A few of you have this way of talking and people like me seem to be the only ones silly enough to respond.

Please can we have an honest conversation that acknowledges facts and what happens in the world.

Ok, why does Microsoft only accepts bitcoin for their partner’s products and not for their money making Microsoft Store products? I highlighted it, but you fail to adress it. You just say “They accept it. Completely and this is the future”, I rather see it they try the waters at the risk of 3rd party. I guess we see other sides of the same coin though.

Some like the foodchain you mentioned do need bitcoin to get the advertisement and hope their competitors don’t drill in the same niche market.

I wondered how much another EVE Player made with donation of bitcoins. And the result was ZERO.
Yes, shady people sell art for millions. But you claim ‘the average austrian painter will also benefit from it.’ and I beg to differ. The painters not related to the scam will not gain anything at all. It’s just an easy way to move money around the world without governmental checks. This is not of the benefit of the many, it is of the benefit of those who think the governments cramp their drug/weapons/corruption money transfers. And if you can show otherwise we all will be interested.

The only good thing about bitcoin is that you make some money mining it. I guess you can turn it into a business and will have to look things up like “wage” and “tax” and so many other things than "buy new card, make small profit, buy newer card, rinse and repeat. For a wage that’s far below the minimum wage. Yes, you can do it from home and to work at McDonalds you’d have to leave home. And yes, it’s generally “set up and wait for the profits”. It’s not for me as I’d rather make more money and in a way i’m sure I’m not providing services for all of the people mentioned above. If it once was a good idea, it’s been corrupted and mainly used for evil now. If evil drives over a road, making another road won’t stop it, to the contrary.

I am “The People” and my opinion is that crypto has done right by me, it did everything it said on the tin and is still doing it.

I’m not rich, I do not have a rich family worth millions, I am a very normal person who has to work 9 to 5 in order to make ends meet. So I am the exact definition of “the people”

Since crypto is still in it’s infancy, why is it a problem for Microsoft to accept it for some of their partners products as a trial? Is it ok for Microsoft to get a feel for what crypto can do for them before they fully roll it out to all of their products?

I don’t like your point of view, the normal and cautious way people operate seems to be an issue for you.

Here’s an idea, why don’t you go and speak to the people who are supposedly being scammed or try to find videos or text articles they wrote as a result of being scammed or not earning money?

Because I am here to find out :

  • Find out if bitcoin mining is something for everyone. Still not sure on that one, most of the answers go on about spending tens of thousands on hardware, to get 2~6 euro’s a day.

  • Find out if the people who slave for bitcoin should be used to build a NFT empire on. And trying to come to a conclusion if NFT’s are a good thing for EVE Online.

And this is my problem with you. I gave you exact figures some posts back based on the current value of bitcoin. The fact you seem to have ignored it is on you and no one else. What I told you is factual and an honest account of what I have experienced.

FYI: A gaming pc with one AMD RX 6600 XT generates around £1 per day based on the current price of BTC. Such a pc will use around 250 watts of power and it’s on 24 hours a day. Also remember that the 250 watts is the electric requirement for the foundation of the mining computer so if you add another AMD RX 6600 XT then the system will use around 80 watts more for each AMD RX 6600 XT you add.

So, a computer with 6 x AMD RX 6600 XT will use around 625 watts and be on for 24 hours a day. Such a system will earn £6 per day at current bitcoin value.

Now, the AMD RX 6600 XT is the most efficient GPU for mining. it’s electric usage is the lowest and it provides the cheapest hash rate possible. this is why all my examples will use this GPU.

So you have actually achieved one of your reasons for being here but you have ignored it, everywhere you look on the web will tell you the exact info I have just told you above.

What on earth is stopping you from obtaining a computer with an 8 GB graphics card in it, installing the nicehash software, clicking one button and begin mining? Do you or anyone you know family or friends have such a computer in their loft or basement? If so then obtain it and put it to work and see for yourself.

At some point you will have to stop talking and do some practical exercises to either prove or disprove something if you are getting mixed opinions when you ask about it.

Give yourself a break, have some fun with it, get a friend or 2 who likes computers involved and discuss and learn together with an old computer that has an 8 GB graphics card. When me and the mrs did this we were so excited with our findings and brought wine and had a good evening talking about possibilities. It really is an eye opener.

This is exactly what I did in 2020 and I saw it for myself.

Could I have a concise and direct answer to this question please?, thanks.

I answered right above, I can’t be supporting the worst of the worst in their new game.

Can I make money as a getaway driver for a heist? Yes, do I need to use a gun and threaten others? No, I just tell the police, whoa dude, don’t tell me everyone involved in the heist is a criminal! It’s just those guys with guns man! . The thing is always the pointing away from what we are part off. “Don’t look at the heists, just drive a damn car man, what more can I say?” is regrettably not enough for me.

No, you told me what you’re here to do, I suggested a cheap way of doing it while having fun, and you rejected it.

I think you’re not here to gain info you’re here to promote a narrative.

cheap?
Its at best thousands of euros investment for a 1->6 euro a day income. It will take about a year mining unstablecoins for shady people.

Cheap? Yes, I remember how video card prices went too the moon. Unlike dogecoin.
Everyone not involved is actually paying hundreds of £’s so you can get passive income.

It’s a horrible, aggressive industry based upon unclear numbers. No matter how it’s twisted and turned.

But I am going to put one PC together, with some PC parts I have just to prove how it’s at best slave labour causing GPU prices to skyrocket and at worst just a way to warm a small room in your house at a high price.

I am going to make an NFT though, just to help some dictator or drug dealer store his millions digitally instead of renting an appartment, this will make some more room on the housing market.

Oh, you have to check this one;

Starting in 2008 through February 2011, they allegedly worked together as a partnership,
Like for 16 days? lol. That company didn’t even exist back then. Apparently that whitepaper was written quickly… or that “obvious front” of a company is another smoke and mirror.

W&K INFO DEFENSE RESEARCH LLC
incorporated 02/16/2011 which is 16 februari 2011
Effective Date monday 02/14/2011 (Valentine lol)
REINSTATEMENT 04/12/2018
So on Valentines day they finally solved their issues with the government. Probably about paying wages I bet, I swear bitcoin people are the weirdest.

You can’t make this sh*t up. rofl.

You’ve scammed yourself into thinking 1 warm room heated by a computer that generates currency is a bad thing. I have electric heaters in my dwelling and I have not turned on 2 of them for a whole year due to my crypto miner providing enough heat for a few rooms. This in it’s self is an actual saving I am no longer using 2000 watts on heaters. I’m actually using less electric than I was when i wasn’t mining. So really I have just brought an expensive room heater with the added bonus of crypto mining lol.

Damn right, I am going to mine so you and I agree on that.

A friend of mine did mine and play a little on the crypto-casino. He stopped doing that though as he made a profit and stopped while he was on top. He did save some on his gas bill (which was cheaper than price of electricity at that time but those prices have been moving closer together in the years.)

So yes, using the heat for yourself instead of just pumping it out of your house is a great idea and very ecological. I do see the positives with the negatives.

Prices are high for GPU’s anyway, prices are high for anything that requires the use of a micro chip as there is a chip shortage world-wide at present.

Yes and no.
You are retconning the pre-covid19 prices. As the latest surge of prices are related to closed factories in China. And that funny guy (Captain Krishnan Kanthavel) who took a right turn in a straight canal.

2013, For the next few years, NVIDIA and ATI would trade wins over the fastest GPU. Then NVIDIA released the GTX Titan, which cost $1000 and outperformed everything else.

Generally they think the chip shortage will finish the latter half of this year.

Also, All gaming GPU’s above 8 gb have a “compute” function which is what mines crypto, GPU’s are valuable to miners and crypto because of this compute function. The point of a GPU’s was never only about graphics and games it also has mathematical features by design.

So you using it to mine is not the only reason for a price increase.

Also AMD have responded and now have a range of GPU’s that are useless for mining, but great for gaming. I will never buy such a GPU for mining so whatever value it has is purley based on it’s performance for gaming.
