Nullification and Warp Module Update – Live Now!

You’ll have to forgive my ignorance; but I am not certain why this change was necessary? Anyone able to TLDR it for me, in such a way that a 5 year old can understand? Thanks!

That upcoming change is not yet live as far as I know. This update was nullification and warp core stabilizers.

Misclick

A better solution would be to have on all covops just 2 highs.

There is absolutely no need for ships that can fit cloak, nulli and stab at once (yes, that includes Blockade Runners) and give them sub 2 align.

you misunderstand the concept of security here. it means no NPC security will be present. player security is another complete diff matter. it can be present in null wh etc or maybe not.

It really doesn’t matter the Warp core stab in the covops frig because there is a lot functional fits that can work without it, but I’m proposing the minimum 3 high slot in covops, because there is real scenarios where you need to fit a cloak, probes and nulifiers. not giving them that option will kill some game play mechanics and styles.

These DEVs have never had a clue when it comes to DST, what used to be a ship a skilled pilot could use in low and break through gate camps is now total fodder.

Usually these kinds of bad dev teams fail in 1-2 years, update their resumes and move on, I guess we got stuck with these longer due to the pandemic.

so basically you just ruined interceptors that nothing was wrong with ? I dont give a crap about anything else than ceptors. Stilletto is the only ship i fly… now you just made it stupid… and here i came back for the war and have fun in my ceptor both in fleets (nullsec alliance) and smallgang/solo… now theres no need if you cant scout ahead … im tempted to say a lot of very bad words but i will just leave you with this… im unsubbing all my accounts

I don’t think it kills any playstyle if there are options to get caught when doing exploration.

But sure it does if you make covops totally uncatchable.

Im thinking about it too tbh.

Well you can fly about the same as you always did before, or you can put a suicide module on that obliterates one of the core functions of the ship and run a bigger risk of dying so… vOv

ceptors died but DST and BR now got some love… ppl camping nullsec entrances with bubbles won’t like much

Can I have your stuff?

Let’s see what happens when you find a gate that’s bubbled on both sides.

Just fly like drunk in zigzag mode and use pings and wait for the module to cool down.

bump

:man_shrugging:

The idea behind the change seems super nice: no more stabbed ratting ishtars, faction scramblers getting a far more interesting value and overall a more versatile use of interdiction and nullification. But come on already, luxury yacht needs to lose a low slot for a high and… maybe no longer sp penalty upon T3 cruiser destruction?

In case you wanna give your stuff away: I would be a friendly and caring new owner for every sort of stuff you would give me

such a rushed out, half finished change, i wonder why the hurry

  • 2 stability on warp cores is both different than what was on Sisi and also basically renders the stabs ineffective a single faction scram can get you. Also now the Maulus Navy Issue has +4 scramble strength but yet only ships with bonused stability can even have that high.
