I assume the module will soon be activatable when under gate cloak, there’s a new attribute for that on the test server (which doesn’t function correctly yet though).
Active time could be very useful. If only the bonus carried over when jumping from one system to the next.
With enough active time (such as on a bonused interceptor or T3C, or a fast aligning different ship on a very short warp distance to gate), it should be possible for a ship to warp through bubbles, jump gate and warp through bubbles on the other side.
…should be possible… but it isn’t! Right now the nullification bonus is removed when jumping gates. Which makes active time useless.
CCP please let the nullification bonus carry over when jumping gates to another system.
The comment is talking strictly about shuttle travel.
Also shuttles require no skills, and DST do. Not everyone can fly DST but everyone can fly shuttles, so it’s not like comparing apples to apples.
I was referring to being able to fly the ships you can fly and needing to transport those; that doesn’t mean you can fly a DST necessarily. But I get your point. What I was saying was that if you are transporting ONLY one ship, you wouldn’t travel in a shuttle, you would travel in that ship instead.
Wow. These changes don’t look well thought out at all. I can’t really comprehend why anyone thought they would be well-received except that there’s some dictum going on that making something active and short duration is somehow always a good idea.
Relying on nullification on anything other than bonused ships is a death trap. In most systems you will not be able to use it for both incoming and outgoing gate, so you either die landing or when trying to escape on the other side.
Not sure, are there modules to decrease warp speed? Because the slower you warp or the longer the warp the better.
If this leads to more players going out into more dangerous space, then it’s a good thing. If it ends up doing the opposite, then bad. I doubt anyone knows for sure just how this will pan out.
But… I would never warp gate to gate, nor attempt to go through a double camp anyway?
Further if there is some sort of cool down or reset caused by the gate, that renders the system usless to everyone by default, so… either DSTs are nullified or nothing is.
Ergo, a Nullified DST is still the greatest thing since sliced bread, other than a Nullified BR
Players should be able to use nullification both on the incoming and outgoing gate if
The warp is long and you have the cooldown back once you land in the new system, or
The warp is short and the duration carries on from one system to the next
As it is right now, the nullification bonus disappears when you take a gate, so a nullified interceptor with 20 more seconds bubble nullification on the clock is stuck in a bubble on the other side, just because the bonus is gone. It would be nice if the nullification bonus continued for full duration, even when switching systems.
Also yes, there are ways to slow down your warp speed: the higgs rig does that if I recall correctly.
Given that an abyssal Gila can make 300 mil/hour in highsec with minimal risk of PvP, do you fear that many of the warp core stabbed Ishtars we like to hunt will move there instead?
I have two questions I haven’t seen answered so far:
Does the cool down timer for these modules start when the module is activated or when it finishes its cycle?
One of the comments said that WCS changes were at least in part to fix AFK farming of faction warfare (FW) plexes. I have not done FW, so could someone please provide a more detailed explanation of that problem?
As the pay for abyssal Gilas is based on supply and demand, that’s not as big as a problem as warp core stabbed Ishtars, as the payout will go down once more people start doing that.
Also, there is a big difference between the very active abyssal Gila playstyle and low effort warp core stabbed Ishtars. I doubt many players will easily switch from a very passive playstyle to a very active one.
The 75sec cool down allows you to run gate to gate fine, gate cloak and various sytem timers run to 80secs, not considering your warp. But nearly everyone bounces between celestials for less chance of hittting too much smartbombs.
That option in say something like a malediction is to bounce 3 times in every system to burn cooldown. So you transverse a system in 5 warps versus 2 now.
CCP, all that extra warping is gonna get old and tedious fast with not much extra content for defenders.
