EvE is not for you.

And calling himself a “leader”.

I struggled to find an alliance that fit my social group - composed largely of rugby mates, high school cheerleaders, boxing legends, high class escorts, stockbrokers, crocodile hunters, and real life princesses. Then I found that these people have their own private alliance, carefully vetting to ensure that no dorks, nerds, goofuses, or geeks are admitted.

For those interested, this is the minerbumping story that Dracvlad is referring to above:

As you can see, there is no such “salt filled sob story”, but rather just a quotation of some ridiculous and utterly wrong stuff that Dracvlad said in AG channel one day, and which I’ll reproduce here for those not wanting to have to go to minerbumping just to see it:

they can fleet warp
but the jump at the same time is suspicious
when tey come in system and all jump at the same time is using input broadcasting
if you see that report it

So that’s what he had to say about this issue back then. HTH.

Of course, and for good reason. Providing misinformation and then “advising” others to file bogus reports based on that is the worst possible form of “anti-ganking” that anyone could do. Crap like this has been polluting AG for way too long and has to go…

As if that would have made a difference…

What if you are making this up? What does faction police have to do with this? You think they need to be pre-aligned to avoid being caught by faction police or what?

They may simply issue the warp fleet command at the right moment when they see the faction police coming, and then they have plenty of time (even if at 350 Km or whatever) to issue the jump command to all the chars. Not to mention merely jumping the gate after landing takes a couple seconds already.

Of all the things they do, this has to be one of the easiest to manually iterate over the whole fleet. Pretending that all chars warping and then jumping at the same time is an indication of input broadcasting under any circumstances is simply ridiculous. And I don’t have words to describe what I think of “advising” others to report whenever they see them doing this.

All that said, it could very well be that some of them do cheat and use some form of input broadcasting for some or all the things they do, but this is not something that may be inferred from anyone’s own ignorance, inability to understand how they could do it, or unwillingness to accept they may simply be better at it than oneself…

Oh, c’mon. You totally didn’t get the joke. Yes, it was a joke. She was making fun of the fact that Pedro was “revealing their secrets”, and thus told him not to, those “secrets” being no more than well known game mechanics.

And this was another misunderstanding. Dracvlad isn’t claiming to be an AG leader. On the contrary, he was making fun of the fact that gankers call him that way.

A better question would be why on earth would you feel entitled to say crap like that and not have the slightest interest in learning and understanding what this game that you’ve chosen to play is about?

I totally dont get this scuffling

You’re wrong. TheDrac doesn’t have a sense of humor.

How do you know this about them?

Trying to attack the maturity of people who have bested you in a video game like this generally has the opposite effect, truth be told.

You don’t really know anything about the people who ganked you, but we know a lot about you, now.

You understand low-sec is an open PvP area, right? This is like complaining about going to the beach and getting sand all over yourself.

Well it is called Everyone Vs Everyone.

But yes it is always better for players young or old to join a corp. For a start lower taxes.

Second of all its not necessary.

Just use local and dscan and you should see them coming.

So what do you plan to do about it?

They’re… playing a game, and doing so in accordance with its rules. Trying to paint that as some sort of personal defect on their part is juvenile.

And, really, painting yourself as a “nooblet” when you’re running a T2 and faction fit navy BS is kind of insipid. You’re not getting blown up trying to run level 1s in a frigate fit with the wrong weapon type, here. You’re taking a fairly high end ship into an open PvP zone (repeatedly) and then complaining that PvP finds you.

Since you don’t seem to get it, let me make it clear: Anyone you see in low-sec who isn’t specifically allied with you is probably going to try to kill you, should the opportunity arise. If you go to low-sec, you need to be prepared to deal with that, either by being able to respond to such an attack, or being able to avoid giving anyone the opportunity to attack you in the first place. If you just bumble in with the expectation that you should be left alone because ~reasons~, the only way you’re coming back out alive is through sheer dumb luck.

It is truly remarkable, how TheDrac spends so much time here on these forums obsessing about ganking and the New Order, -I would imagine thinking about this stuff a large portion of the day- and yet he consistently demonstrates that he does not know this game works.
Over and over again, this happens.

What went wrong in yours?

You’re presumably a grown adult, but here you are, completely unglued over the loss of some video game pixels. It’s the kind of thing you’d really only expect to see posted from the safe space of mom’s basement, no? Mature adults just take their losses in stride - they don’t post unhinged rants about how the players who bested them must have a serial killer in the family.

There. See how easily that’s turned back on you?

It’s also pretty difficult to take this “new player” whinging seriously when your character dates back to 2004. I realize you probably bought the character and don’t really know what you’re doing, but there’s really no way for anyone ganking you to discern “2004 vet” vs “bought trash” anyway. Furthermore, even if the character were new, there’s really no way for them to ascertain that that’s a new player. Could easily be a veteran player with a skill injected new character.

In reality, nobody is really “ganking newbs”. They’re ganking indiscriminately, and newb kills are merely incidental.

Wait, was it Nerds or Dorks?

Or a combined fleet?

You need Intel Resists vs one and pop cult resists vs the other

See, I have this one drone, its super effective against one but not the other.

Ogre hates Nerds

This is one thing I miss - people used to check what they are getting into… and it isn’t like eve is some new game with 0 reputation behind it. Used to be that people first explored some menus and control (including checking the manual) before even complaining about hard controls.
