October Release - Known Issues

@CCP_Darwin
Is this for all animations?

And how can I run a 32-bit client? Since a couple of weeks there is no wine-32bit client available anymore. Before I could select this, and could at least play in the lowest graphics mode. This is now impossible. I have send tickets, posted in the Mac-forum, but not much is happening.

My comment only referred to the animation package for 3D characters, although there might be a slight impact for other assets as well.

Regarding availability of a 32-bit Wine client, have you upgraded to MacOS Catalina 10.15? If so, 32-bit applications no longer work at all due to Apple removing OS-level support for them. MacOS versions 10.14 and earlier should still allow choosing a 32-bit client.

Thanks for your reply.

No I haven’t upgraded to Catalina (I can’t), and yes, I can choose to not tick the 64-bit version.
However there used to be a “wine version” (3.17 IIRC) I could choose that would let me play the game in 32-bit modus. Now it’s either ‘latest’ or 4.15 or 4.17, which don’t work for me.

Changes to Assault Frig’s velocity isn’t in the patch notes, it really should be.

Also may want to check some of the values (Vengeance 195m/s really?).

Got bored of waiting for it to be added to patch notes so…

Old Velocity -> New Velocity (base attributes):

300 -> 275 Retribution
322 -> 195 Vengeance

322 -> 290 Hawk
312 -> 281 Harpy

339 -> 308 Ishkur
340 -> 306 Enyo

405 -> 368 Jaguar
415 -> 375 Wolf

That’s got to be a typo right @CCP_Rise?

Has there anything been done to the server itself? I and some corpmates are getting crazy lag.
The Network diagnostics (traceroute) show lots of timed out hops lately.

Connection is from Germany btw.
Game is close to not playable this way.
No, not a problem of the PC, all potato-mode, internet is ok in itself.

sorry if this is the wrong forum, just move if it is :slight_smile:

There’s been reported issues of a German ISP dropping packets.

Ty a lot for the info!

Bug report sent, although for reason unbeknownst to me, lag wasn’t very strong yesterday. Maybe being in station rather than in space has something to do with it.

Module cycles do not appear right from the start anymore. It appears as if the modules were warming up first and only after 5 or 10 seconds they start visually cycling. This looks like a cloak activation module animation at first. When I click on a hardener, shield booster, weapon, missile launcher, the modules start to flash green only. Only 5-10 seconds later they actually start to show the white module cycle.

And at times modules do not activate at all.

Reload animation also does not show correctly. It either doesn’t show the white circle at all or only shows it delayed. Worse yet, it is not just the animation that does not trigger, it’s the entire reload process that does not trigger. I have had to move modules around several times now to trigger the reloading of modules.

This warning message is really getting on my nerves. Every time I JC into a structure I get this notification.
