While I understand the Minmatar relationship with the Amarr Empire has been characterised by violence, this has not been the case with the Caldari State. As such I think Caldari have a less jaundiced view as to Amarr intentions towards themselves.

This is akin to saying that a child being lured with the promise of candy has a ‘less jaundiced view’ toward their would-be abductor.

Ask them. Ask @Gaven_Lok_ri or @Aldrith_Shutaq or @Mitara_Newelle this very simple question:

“If the Amarr Empire had no-one else to Reclaim, would they come for the State?”

See if any of them would dare try to give assurances that the Empire has no intention of subjugating the Caldari people, destroying Wayism and belief in the Winds, and remaking you all in their image. At best, they’ll mouth platitudes about what the Empire intends ‘at this time’. Longer term… they know the truth.
