I would buy many of the packs from the store if I was able to choose between skins.
I would only use one of these.

You can choose between the skins.
Each of the starter packs has a different selection of skins and I believe you can buy multiple tiers of starter packs. In other words, you can buy all the skins you want.
If you’re not someone to activate skins you don’t want: all of the skins are tradable and some fetch a good price on the ingame market, so you can see them as extra PLEX as part of the pack.
You could also buy one pack, sell the skins you don’t need on the market and buy the other skins you’re interested in.
Lots of options!

You get a variety of skins when you buy one pack, and another selection of skins when you buy another pack.
Ive always found it annoying the skins you claim from log ins or events auto claim. I want them in my inventory so I can either sell them or trade them. Maybe I don’t want that skin.

All of the skins from events are handed out for free, so they are automatically applied so that people with multiple accounts cannot farm them and flood the market with them.
Any of the skins you pay real money for (like in the packs this thread is about) are tradable on the market.
They are rarely skins for ships that I fly.
How would it hurt sales to mix it up a bit?
So what stops you from selling the skins you get from one of these packs but don’t want, and/or buying the skins you do want?

Nothing, I understand how this works.
I’m asking for a better variety up front. I’m the consumer. I’ve bought every pack they’ve sold.
Most retailers want to hear from the people they serve.
At least have a race to choose from when buying a pack.

I think she’s asking for choice. The ability to choose SKIN through the packs versus default SKINS she’ll never use.
I bought a gold pack for €49.99 and couldn’t use even one of the SKINs.
I ended up buying SKINs thanks to the 5 free PLEX given away for completing the AIR program.

The point is that had she had the choice to begin with maybe she wouldn’t have had to buy them all?

Still if she’s only interested in some skins:
the skins are tradable
She can buy what se wants and sell what she doesn’t want.

All they’re doing is putting people off of buying SKIN. All the SKINs I bought so far cost 1 PLEX and I earned that PLEX doing the AIR dailies.
Are you saying it’s better to buy SKIN in the Market and to forget the packs?

Meh. Yesterday I was looking at shuttle skins. There were a dozen or so listed, but only one was actually available anywhere. What a silly system. Why is Media Miasma listed for many ships, yet you have to have a personal audience with God to get one ?
The system is tiresome. I had hoped that SKINR would make it easy to just say ’ I want a puke green ship with pink spots '…and not have to jump through a dozen hoops or look at listings where 90% of the skins are not actually available anywhere.
I don’t mind paying 1bn for a good skin. I do mind having to stand on my head whilst reciting Ecclesiastes backwards in order to get one.
