And that is ultimately the problem with Reddit.
I have a friend who makes swords and knives for a living. He has an account there, but seldom posts or even bothers to read. The reason being is that there are more people writing about and having opinions of bladesmithing than actually doing it. It’s not a matter of just anybody being able to LARP as a smith. This is probably not the case. It’s people who have an opinion of everything, always negative, who can’t just pick up their damned hammer and go forge something. The letters are worn on their keyboards but their anvils look like they bought it yesterday.
Observably, just doing it is lends far more skills and experience than just posting about it. Understandably, it’s probably easy to shitpoast about something for 30 minutes when all you have is 30 minutes but don’t have the 3+ hours to actually do it.
I’m no smith but I have other projects and I leave things in place in a manner whereby I can do something for 30 minutes a day and pick up without any delays from one day to the next. I restored an entire car over a 7 year period doing this.

Anyone else see the irony in people posting here when they think r/eve is the place to be. It’s like the OP is an IQ test and most of the posters failed it.

You can do the same on r/eve as well, just requires that you have some thick skin. 
One cannot “fail” an IQ test. There are just some with lower intelligence like the majority of mankind and a few more intelligent people. On average that would still even out.
Don’t be pedantic. It’s pretty obvious where I was going with that statement. Plus it’s more polite than calling the people I was referring to a bunch of retards.
