My exact symptoms. Thinking of doing exactly that.
i cant find a way to delete a profile on the âChoose Profileâ list:
When i delete a profile folder in
â[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_eve_sharedcache_tq_tranquilityâ
to get rid of a profile it still will be appear in the launcher profile list, even after a restart.
if i select the previous deleted profile/folder and login, it just creates default values for that beforehand deleted profile.
Where does the new launcher cache or save this profile list?
this bs adds absolute nothing of value.
So far I can confirm a reinstall fixed it.

LAUNCHER FEEDBACK:
1)) It lures you to install this god damn Vanguard (by accidental pressing on icon) I havenât even heard about and not interested in because itâs a FFF shooter arcade game - completely different genre! I suggest stop forcing it, leave these âdirtyâ tricks for yourselves!
2)) The button of âPLAYâ is gone and I cannot fastly lauch all my 3 accounts at once. Instead, I have to manually âunfoldâ each account and press PLAY in a different pressing zone, which is more time consuming than previous option.
3)) New launcher takes all my screen, there is not âcompactâ version. But it may be because of my 150%large Window fonts and UI elements. However, would be nice to have a proper compact version for all zoom levels.

Iâve managed to resize launcher window, so no further actions is needed, thanks! Btw, that PLAY button only appears if you only minimize launcher to the certain degree!!! Until then, the PLAY button doesnât appear!!!
I cant see which system is each my alt and is it dock/undocked.
Thatâs what Iâm playing on, through steam. It took a bit of fidgeting to find a proton version that works (currently experimental), rolling back to DX11 from the launcher screen and using a couple command options as concessions to my old hardware:
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
If youâre using wine, there are a couple solid threads ongoing in Linux covering the hacks from different angles atm.

the first question is - what super smart person came up with the idea of tightly sculpting an account into the program - did you not think that SEVERAL people can use the computer - and then immediately the account is linked - and how many Plex are on the account - what was stopping you from the remember me button? Now the account can be removed from there only by deleting it from the program - do you know how convenient it is to go to your email for a code every time you decide to log in to Eve online? what if there is more than one account? please - return the remember me button - and in general, as it was before - the launcher was updated - I entered accounts - and then, if necessary, I log into them - without going to the mail.

Using ubuntu 22.04 through steam
only a few minor issues with the new launcher:
- all my chat channels are gone
- my overview and interface are back to default settings
- game crashes every time i undock
other than that, no issues.
"All your user accounts and settings will be migrated into the new version automatically, and any unnecessary files related to the old launcher will be removed from your system. "
Well⌠actually none of this happened, thanks for trying! it sucks for the time waste.
Personally i really dislike the look of the new launcher, maybe from their pov it brings more benefits to players(probably more to ccp),and i believe many more are of the same stance.
Hopefully they dont turn it into a gacha mobile launcher with popups and all the garbage but its already too late since it was implemented in the previous version as well.
A bit disappointed, hopefully you do better in the future.
Should I expect âConfimâ button to show as it is stated in launcher text? All I get is âInstallâ button.
So today my eve launcher on steam doesnât work anymore. On steam, I open eve online and it just presents a small black window with the white letters EVE inside. The launcher is now broken on steam.
So Iâve now got 5 accounts I canât use, so the update needs rolling back. I litreally canât play the game. Iâm a Linux user, and the game now no longer works. It went from working fully, to not working after this update. So the problem is the update.

this happened to me, i had to delete game and reinstall. however i think this nuked all my chat/overview/interface settings, so you might want to âbackup your profileâ first, which is a thing that i personally dont know how to do lol
edit: want to clarify that yes i am playing through steam

If you want it to work, go to an operating system that works. The problem is you. My steam account has no problem.
