I’m not paying for the game. Haven’t paid in at least 6 years, and I’m Omega all that time. Other players are paying for my subscription.
I don’t speak for or against CCP on this. Don’t care. They’re a business and they do what they want to do however I feel about it, I’m not on their board. My opinion stands on its own merit, but depending on whether I agree with someone or not it will be interpreted as pro- or contra-CCP. Which is nonsensical.
What I think is – 20 eur per month for a game subsription is not a large amount of money. Given the cost of everything else in life, I don’t understand the problem. It’s entertainment. Look at concert tickets, movie tickets, or how much a night out at a bar costs these days. 20 eur per month is a small tiny amount. Sure, it’s relative. For some people it might be a bigger issue. But for everybody earning their own monthly paycheck, I don’t see how this is a large sum in the Western world today.
Why is it that the biggest whiners on the forums are invariably people who….when you look at their Killboard…you find no evidence that they have ( as in your case ) logged in for over 9 years.
It’s a consistent theme on this forum. Again and again. The people who whine the least are those who are regularly active in the game on the character they post here on.
For me its less about the price. Balance changes have killed the play style / earnings for my limited hours. Its feeling less valuable for me too.
My reasons are similar but also different. If I can no longer fund my PVP/ambitions due to balance changes, the fun goes way down. (Couple this with a sub price increase - it gets worse).
Life goes on. He’s entitled to share his opinion as much as you try to denigrate it. What I will say, recent movements make it very clear who CCP want playing their game and who they dont.
Whoever is forced using the “base price” of 20 EUR should not be playing EVE and get their life sorted…or stay at Alpha as long as that condition holds.
I pay roughly 6-7 EUR a month with all the saving options activated. But you need to be able to fork out at once and then live with the subscription for 2 years.
I am sorry. I found it absurd to pay 20 EUR a month. And that would make me really upset if that was the case. No need to get angry. I just wanted to point out the extremes. There are many many price points in between.
This I have to agree with. I can afford to sub by the yr. Didn’t mind paying CCP $ to kill high value targets. Now… No because there are any hardly left or they hide behind a wall CCP created.
