The amount of “You don’t have Omega” / “Buy Omega” stuff is just too much, and it is getting in the way of actually playing the game.
Now when you log in an account that was Omega, but the paid time has expired and it is now alpha.
1: There is a dark frame and red top on the log in screen, warning you the account is Alpha.
2: When you try enter the game, your action will be denied, and a pop up shows, showing you do not have Omega. The warning has 2 buttons, something like “Buy Omega in RL Store” and “Buy Omega For PLEX”.
3: Once inside game, skill book information is only concerned about if you have Omega or not, and it is impossible to determine if you own a book with skill at level 0.
Point 1 is good in my opinion.
Point 2 is downright terrible, for a number of design reasons.
D1: It repeats information you already have.
D2: It denies your action, without any purpose (you are already warned, so it doesn’t add that).
D3: There is no “Proceed as Alpha” button. Which is the action the user has already indicated they want to perform. So not only does it deny the action for no reason, it also makes it hard to proceed on the desired path.
In my opinion point 2 also treats the user as a moron. Who is too stupid to figure out on their own, that when Omega is out, they need to purchase more unless they want to play as Alpha.
Point 3 is just horrible design all together. The remake on the 5 dots that showed if you have book, alpha etc, is just horrible and hides so much information that was shown before the change.
