Well-- she’s not 100% wrong about the Nonentity “caste” but of course it’s a little more complicated than not being considered human. More like, “no longer our concern.” Takes losing corporate citizenship, too, which is like losing your job but more-so.
Really it seems like a case of knowing a little and thinking that’s all she needs.
Well that’s a deflection and projection if I’ve ever heard one. Amarrian Breeding facilities will CONTINUE to be brought up in protest until Amarr begins to dismantle them permanently. It’s not about lust, it’s about brutality justified by “religion”. Because clearly an existence where you’re strapped into a breeding table is a better life than being free back home. Note, this -is- sarcasm.
So would you Jamyl Sarum’s emancipation of 9th generation and up was an act of blasphemy? Oh wait, she was considered a heretic already anyway because she actually fought to undo centuries of conflict and misery. I’m sure the Holders were more than happy to see her death and sent “Reclaiming” groups of their own to retrieve their property. Note this is -not- sarcasm.
Perhaps you should have a look at my off-topic discussion regarding balance within the universe.
Centuries of Amarrian brutality and holy crusades fueling a negative feedback loop.
Watch out for the pendulum as it swings back in your direction, because it stops for nothing.
The same can be said from others that wish for you to understand as well.
We choose to learn. But we choose WHAT we learn, and what we believe.
Amarrian Loyalists need to stop being like liberal abolitionists in their squeamishness regarding breeding facilities. The fact is, like many forms of livestock, the Minmatar do not free-breed very efficiently, and a structured breeding environment is necessary to avoid many years of wasted fertility per each slave. A structured breeding program can also be used to reduce the Minmatar blood percentage by half each generation, which has various practical and theological advantages (although of course slave status is retained with even one drop of Minmatar blood).
I would love for you to believe in spiritual things too.
There was once a time that there was not a single shred of actual evidence that the planet that our smartest people lived on was not flat.
I do not think you will find actual scientific data to spoon feed you your salvation Arrendis, but you apparently do have the desire to believe, which is start.
Cherry-picking? Breeding Facilities are a sub-element of the PRIMARY NEGATIVE ELEMENT that defines the specific “Diverse and wide reaching culture” in question.
SLAVERY
This here. “Livestock” Should speak volumes to those willing to listen for the context of the word.
Livestock => i.e. => cattle
How would you like to become Livestock? How uplifting into God’s Arms do you think you’d feel strapped into a chair for the sole purpose of providing additional slaves. To birth a son and have him ripped from your arms never to be seen again. Or to birth a daughter and watch as she spends a lifetime suffering the same brutality?
So, pilot? A word about Mr. Nauplius, since you seem to be one of the many who addresses
in allcaps, whether literally, rhetorically, or just mentally.
The more experienced Matari partisans (usually, though not always, even Arrendis) don’t generally take Mr. Nauplius as a good example of Amarrian society. He’s … even relative to the OP of this thread, he’s kind of … special. The Amarr broadly consider him a heretic and he in turn has rejected the authority of the Imperial Throne, claiming there’s been no “true emperor” since Vak’Atioth and the Minmatar Rebellion (which he takes as a sort of unforgivable, all-encompassing sin meaning the damnation of all the Matari tribes).
Basically he thinks writing the Pax Amarria disqualified Emperor Heideran VII (known as “The Peacemaker” for a reason) and all his successors and wants the Empire to go back to full-time conquest.
(In spite of which interestingly he’s kind of embraced soft power?)
Anyway he’s a bad example and not in good odor as far as the Empire is concerned.
Did you know that just by measuring the shadows at the same time in two different places only 100 meters apart, over the course of the day, using the most primitive techology available: ‘two sticks’, you can demonstrate planetary curvature?
Maybe don’t try trotting out easily-debunked conventional wisdom. It’s usually anything but.
There was always evidence that planets were not flat. The whole ‘people used to think the world is flat’ is nonsense invented by people who want to think they’re smarter than those who came before.
The Amarrian Orthodox Church, Sedevacantist does not object to the existing of soft power; rather, it objects to the non-existing of hard power. We would not care if someone was out there trying to peacefully convert the heathens, LUMEN-style, as long as that message was backed up by conquest, enslavement, and genocidal extermination if the heathens fail to convert.
Not true. You’ve repeatedly made clear you believe there is no point converting the Matari by any means, as we exist only to be destroyed. That’s an objection to soft-power Reclaiming.
It is true that the Minmatar exist to be destroyed, and God is glorified in their destruction, but for some that destruction will be deferred to Hell, the ultimate destination for all Minmatar. In the Amarrian Orthodox Church, Sedevacantist, we teach our Minmatar slaves to aspire to the second highest level of Hell, which is still pretty yucky but preferable to the lower levels of Hell.
Can confirm, he, at least, does teach them that. Which makes working with them after they’re back out of his hands mighty interesting, especially since in some cases that teaching is reinforced with TCMCs.
The solution to this “problem” is “Don’t try to disabuse Nauplius’s ex-slaves of the notion that they are going to Hell and that they should aspire to the second highest level of Hell”, which is after all a correct and true belief.
