Iâm absolutely in love with the narrative these room-temperature IQ bears have constructed about players coming in to âhunt the piratesâ if the âincentivesâ are made big enough. It reminds me of the days when I still believed that dating would be like something out of a slice-of-life anime instead of 24/7 psychological warfare with a person who was only there to look for a way to steal the big-screen TV from my living room.
My gameplay these days consists of being a legal PvP target to upwards of 50,000 null-sec characters. If one of them were to kill me, theyâd likely get a better drop from any one of most of my ships than what theyâd get out of an officer spawn in the sovereign space they pay to rent. Yet out of the hundreds of players I kill every month, only one or maybe two even bother engaging me back when I attack them, even though I usually use an under-powered ship class compared to their own. Most just stay silent until they die, or maybe call me a six-letter f-word or a six-letter n-word or something along those lines in local.
If the absolutely best, cream-of-the-crop, elite null-sec PvP warriors (who should have no problems with wiping the floor with my skill-less gankbear ass) respond this way to casual piracy, itâs pants-on-head moronic to expect some stained-underwear high-sec miners to form up to go after gankers just because CONCORD is offering 5-million-ISK bounty specials on Catalyst kills. Yet here we are.
Obviously these people are so bad at the game that they arenât even able to engage in low-tier PvE to make their two-pence for mining barge replacements, so they came up with the clever idea of a mechanic that would allow them to harvest their alts for income because theyâre too illiterate to read guides for completing trash-tier high-sec anomalies. Thereâs no other rational explanation for this.

Thatâs the point. Thereâs a ârea$onâ for gankers to form up. Thereâs currently ZERO reasons for AG to form up, other than to âdo the right thingâ. Yes, the âright thingâ, because stealing is wrong and gankers steal something every time they attack someone. Prove me wrong.
Enemies abound, 1-5 by the time you are done with all 5 of them in like maybe an hour and 15 mins topsâŚyou have somewhere around 140 million in tags alone, somewhere on the order of 60 million in loot and salvage total, approx 6 million in rewards(never really totaled this one) and depending where and for whom you do them approx 35k LP at avg 1,000 isk per LP thats another 35 million ISK.
Many of the top tier LV4âs like the extravganzaâs and lv4 blockcades can net around 60 to 70 million ISK total with the same calculations,
The 2 missions with Zor, have a chance of dropping an imp that can be sold up to 80 million ISK at times.
Then of course if you are blitzing for the correct corporation it is easy to just farm up to 60k LP an hour, which is very lucrative. Trust me i know if really want/need ISK i would do this myself and if i ran 2 characters (1 for looting) i can and have made up to 10 billion ISK for my efforts in 8 hrs in a single day.

All I have to do is catch them jumping into a system. The âPoliceâ are kind enough to supply the DPS. Look at how many kills I have without CONCORD on them and youâll see where the ganker would have lived to gank another innocent Venture or Pod.
Currently, there are no metrics that measure this.
Possibly the same people that enjoy ratting in Null. Possibly anyone that wishes to prevent an imminent gank. Possibly anyone that likes shooting online spaceships.
Generally speaking, when you do something for the first time youâre not âgood at itâ. Of course, there are exceptions. There would have to be a rewards system to encourage people to start this variant of gameplay.
99% of gankers have a preformatted list of insults on standby while online. The utter amount of toxicity involved with every aspect of AG is astounding! Calling people âloserâ and âfailureâ repeatedly is perfectly fine with CCP as long as you use their proper pronouns.
hi all, so Iâd like to talk primarily about the criminal system within the game, Iâm not going to go as far as to say it needs an over haul, but i was thinking about a few things which i have encountered in game, but before declaring this and that i was wondering if anyone else had any gripes with the mechanic in game, what do people currently think of it?

The original major Crimewatch changes came about in 2012, I think. The system has been tinkered with over the years, but it has become clear - to me, at least - that there are grounds for a root-and-branch review of the whole thing.
It is of no use cherry-picking particular areas with which one has a gripe or grudge; the elements of the system are so interconnected (especially in Highsec, where my main lives), that a change to one playstyle is bound to impact others.
I will not provide suggestions, because I think theyâre unlikely to be fruitful in the discussion youâve started here.
I would simply like to read from CCP something like:
âWe know Crimewatch is a mess. We want to bring it up-to-date. Discussions, including those with the CSM and invited specialists, will begin in December, and weâll issue a Vision Statement in the Spring of 2023.â

well Iâm not saying it needs to support anti ganking or anything of the sort, truthfully as Iâve stated on many of my posts before, Iâm not a massive combat pilot, so i was curious to understand more of the grievances players have had with it, mainly for discussion purposes, i kept it on here because i might throw out a suggestion or food for thought idea to bounce around, but i wanted to get my barings on the subject first and not post a half cocked âi had this minor issue so it needs to be fixedâ style post. considering what many on here know to be my impulsive type writing style, i figured this would be a smart move.
its more a case of i want to hear peopleâs stories on this one. my thinking is that if there is a similarity somewhere any suggestion could be a minor suggestion rather than needing an entire system over haul.
currently my tower is completely busted till i get it fixed, so i type this on my tablet to help research stuff.
example. one of my questions is that if you have a criminal timer, it says on eve university you cannot basically do anything, but it does make me wonder about the idea of simply denying system access to those with -10 standings, i literally know next to nothing about this stuff, so iâm really trying to make active effort to learn.

Iâve heard similar suggestions from people who think that, because youâre a âcriminalâ in EVE Online, you should be treated by the system as harshly as you might be treated in real life; that âcriminals have it too easyâ, and other platitudes.
CCP designed the game with criminal and non-criminal gameplay in mind. Everything has consequences, including âcriminalâ activity, by design.
With a criminal timer, a playerâs options are already limited. If you want to impose further restrictions on the -10 player, perhaps you should explain why you think theyâre necessary, what problem they solve, and what unforeseen consequences your suggestion might uncover.
