It’s the derivate latency effects of distributed cloud service architecture where specific parts (of which in game services are derivative for functionality) lie outside of full control of CCP. Every time there’s issues, it is preceded by glitches in the connectivity connections from those points, foremost the chat “server” (we really shouldn’t call it that).

Our DDoS Mitigation partner has been scrubbing our network traffic today; please send our Customer Support a help ticket.

This has been fixed. It was only affecting one particular market region.

That is quite interesting since Tranquility is in a datacenter in London but the Chat Cluster is in AWS in Ireland. The EVE Client connects independently to the game itself on one hand and to the chat cluster on the other hand. This points to the issue being a network issue on a common route, therefore more possibly closer to you, such as your ISP.

Support request submitted. But, I’ll add this has been an example of why just submitting tickets is not enough at times. We had a number of people including CCP saying nothing was wrong at all, yet the group of people here reporting the exact same issue, in the exact same time range, with at the very least unusual frequency (forum doesn’t flood with login issue threads every day)… If we hadn’t posted here we would have no push back individually to fight your line that “it’s your ISP.” I’d probably be on the phone with my ISP right now…

I expect the game will be perfectly safe from DDoS once we are all ‘scrubbed’?

I’m aware of (a decent amount of) the distributed architecture, which reminded of similar issues with a service connected to AWS in Ireland (albeit completely unrelated to EVE Online). Hence the line of thought. Your observation could very well be related in some way, though the possible correlation I mentioned occurs both at home, at the house near work, and at work. In two cases a different ISP.

Sent a Customer Support Ticket through my cellphone with data, since my isp has probably been redflagged by the DDoS cleanup team. Launcher for Tranquility doesnt work (oddly, it does for test server), and none of the eve pages that require a login.

Hope this gets cleared soon, its a shame not to be able to log in when having limited gaming time.

Provfided logs, tracert, IP. Nothing since few days ago. i am still scrubbed…lol. Why did you ask us to provide all this detail if dont do anything with it?

so many Login Issues atm, and for that u guys take a huge amount of $/€ thats crazy
