Depending how well you’re understanding of IT is might you be able to help yourself in the meantime by setting up a VPN - a virtual private network. You can download the software for free here:
All you need to download and install is the SoftEther VPN client. It installs a virtual network adapter (similar to your network card or wifi adapter) and connects it via the Internet with a a free VPN server and then routes all your other Internet traffic through it. It makes your PC appear like it’s connecting from another country and thus can allow you to get around network outages, IP bans, traffic filtering and even some forms of firewalls.
Once installed do you use the SoftEther tool to select a free VPN server anywhere in the world and have it route your Internet traffic through it. These free VPN servers are run by volunteers and you may have to try a couple before it works flawlessly. Best is to choose a server in either your own country or a neighboring country.
This is a temporary solution, but as long as people keep attacking CCP’s networks with DDoS attacks is there always a chance that one’s own IP or ISP might get thrown into the same filter as the attackers’, because the attackers use many computers from different locations on the Internet and to stop their attacks does one need to get rid of their Internet traffic.
Don’t forget to send a ticket to CCP (if you have access to their support site) with your IP address.
Also, since DDoS attacks sometimes use viruses to run their attacks from other people’s computers, do run a virus scan on your PCs.
Looks like Tranquility Server just took a massive sh1t on the floor and CCP are mopping it up with dry dog turds
That issue is still happening now, got new players in RUN Corp chat asking how to complete the Career Agent missions with the Market being down.
I’ve been telling them to go to Hek system in Metropolis region.
Are you guys trying to kill off Rens as a Minmatar Trade Hub?
For my app the issues started around 2pm UTC yesterday. SSO is basically dead since only about 50% of the requests go through successfully, the others just time out.

How often do you contact login.eveonline.com in your tests?
The reason I’m asking is because the DDoS attacks seem to have been targeting the login service. So when they are now scrubbing the traffic will they possibly remove packets when someone tries to connect to the login service too often. In other words, if you’re testing the login service repeatedly may your test appear like an attack.

How often do you contact login.eveonline.com in your tests?
Not enough to look like ddos. Maybe 100 requests over 20 minutes.

Have you tried reducing it to 1 test per minute? Does this change the success rate?
Those are not tests but a production app. 100 requests per 20 minutes is about one request every 12 seconds. That’s less than when you browse amazon.
CCP can ban you if you change your trace to somewhere else?

CCP can ban you if you change your trace to somewhere else?
Generally, no. Only if you already have a ban and then used it to get around it would they ban you again of course. They’d also remove your account, too, in case you’ve done something bad in the past and which caused them to ban your IP.
If you haven’t done anything wrong then it doesn’t matter from where you connected and how.
Theres a program CyberGhost 6 can i use it meanwhile? or they can ban me? i already used it to log and worked but i dont know if ccp can ban me or something like that

Theres a program CyberGhost 6 can i use it meanwhile?
It’s your choice to make. I don’t know about CyberGhost 6 nor do I speak for CCP obviously. I’ve only ever used SoftEther and it was developed as a university project and to help people in Asia to get around firewalls of certain countries. If you’re not sure then don’t do it.

I’m not judging you. I’m only trying to understand what it is you’re doing and I don’t want for you to get caught up in whatever CCP is currently doing to fight off those attacks.
How is it you need to make this many requests by the way? The access tokens last for 20 minutes and one doesn’t need to access the login service every 12 seconds. Do you have a lot of characters?
Yes, I have a lot of characters that I check. And slowing it down is not viable, as that degregates my service to the point it brings no benefit.
So I know CCP says they don’t know whats up, and I know people say its the ISP, however my connection dropped right about DT and the second the alliance tourney was done for the day came back up.
Seems others experienced the same thing, so with that belief, it means it was CCP banning large amounts of ISP’s to protect the alliance tourney. As an eve player I understand them not wanting to be DDOS’s and doing best they can to prevent this, however banning players that have been playing since day 1 of Eve that don’t even fully understand a DDOS attack is also very annoying.

No, it has NOT been fixed, Hiematar market is still “Not Ready”
It broke again, has been fixed again.
Get the guy you “optimized the DB indices” last week and then went into vacation…
seems like it is fixed temporarily/manually several times since yesterday…but the root cause is not found, so it comes back…
from my own experience I’d say it smells like a DB locking issue…
