I’m sympathetic to the op.
This is not a good look for the game. The message we’re sending to prospective players is that if you want to mine, get a bunch of orcas and go afk. Orcas can go like this for hours without being controlled. Likewise anyone wanting to compete with these orcas doesn’t have many options.
The answer is not ganking. Orcas have a few hundred thousand ehp each and why would a fellow miner create that many accounts for ganking.
Or bumping. The time spent bumping is not generating any wealth. Bumping is less effective as a deterrent to mining as much as a minor inconvenience. Remember we have the three minute to warp timer now.
The answer isn’t wardeccing. Even if the orcas did have a structure, 100mil a week plus your own structure just isn’t worth it.
The answer is, unfortunately, to get more orcas yourself. This is where mining, and the game in general, is going. As ways to shoot other players are nerfed, its a buff to crappy and lazy gameplay like this.
