A sentence starts with a capital letter. You use punctuation to make your sentence readeable. You end your sentence with a period. I could also talk about the grammar but let’s do the basics first.
Actually, for obvious reasons, Compo primarily communicates in memes.
Thanks for pointing out as I stated above.
The current orca is the best mining ship for Hi-sec if you want to be safe and go for very long afk’s. It’s effectively a more expensive procurer with a 185k m3 ore hold.
Yes.
And with sound on, you can effectively be immune from Trigs as well, since they don’t warp scramble.
yes, it has the most tank.
It also has the most mining duration, assuming you have a big enough clock rock.
It also has the most mining value without actions, because it has the biggest mouth hold. It however can’t handle trigs like a skiff would.
The issue in this particular case is : trigs don’t warp to ice anoms. (actually, they don’t warp to anoms at all)
And to do it in the same time you only need 9 Macks and 1 Orca. (Maybe even less).
So…
Still not seeing an issue here regarding the mining.
The fact Npcs with any Dps don’t go to Ice anoms is a minor issue. But the reward part is low, why should the risk not be low. They are choosing a low yield option where people can easily outline them.
This is an important aspect. But aren’t we pushing weaker players out of the game in the way we are removing safety? I prefer a porpoise to an orca. However it appears that ice miners don’t. However if they would get hulks, add strip miners with crystals and use orca as a real command ship, they could clear the anomaly hours faster.
With weaker player I mean people that have less time or can’t get help from others due to eh… “their personality”.
As it’s already been pointed out in the thread numerous times: It’s low-engagement, low-effort, low-attention gameplay.
Oh it would be hilarious if trigs warped to anoms. The game would flood from tears. I’ve seen what incursions do to ice systems. All of the miners leave, and nobody mines any more. Maybe time to start investing in ice because prices will sky rocket if trigs ever got added to anoms.
Ok and?
It’s also low reward gameplay.
So it’s balanced.
The opposite seems to be true. By having 20 orcas, 1 on each roid, other miners don’t seem to want to compete with that, which is why the 20 orca fleet is frequently the only one mining there. And it was the same story with the other orca fleet of around 20 orcas too. From yesterday:
Did I mention rewards? No I did not. The rewards don’t matter.
The problem is AFK mining is low-engagement, low-effort, low-attention gameplay. CCP, and the community, want to start moving away from this type of gameplay.
So you have two choices: Get on board or get left behind. Up to you bud.
The mine something more valuable and buy the ice ?
Then get a large group in hulks and take his ICE ?
Or they could make ICE belts spawn randomly making it difficult to move the 20 orca’s around new eden all the time ?
Hey! B-b-b-b-but drone travel time!
All those Orca’s are parked on the rock so there’s no travel time. Don’t post that! MUH NARRATIVE!!!
Could you share your fits for these?
I’m guessing he didn’t include drone rigs on the orca, which greatly increase the yield.
I also wonder why he didn’t include their ore hold sizes.
You can keep guessing, it won’t make you understand things.
Make an effort, I already gave the fit.
Then post your numbers if you think they are wrong. Don’t forget to include drone rigs on the barges also though If you are generating a true max yield fit. For equality.
Ore holds not included because we all know the orca has a larger ore hold, but since there is an orca supporting the barges it’s also irrelevant.
They can jettison and have a tractor move it all to one place where some transport is waiting? Wouldn’t try that afk tough
I found this image but regrettably it isn’t a complete picture, can someone do the math? It’s been a while since I flew Hulks with T2 crystals but I had the feeling it really outmined any orca even with the drone speed, and drone yield fittings.
Why keep following this red herring?
The yield (eg, rewards) don’t matter. Why compare active mining with AFK mining? It’s well besides the point.
At any rate, OFC a Hulk is going to mine more than an Orca, but that’s also besides the point.
