I think I am right in saying you only get the ‘why did you leave’ question if you biomass the characters. Otherwise CCP has no idea that you ‘have’ actually left, and are not just taking a break.
Personally I think CCP would be surprised at the things that really cheese people off in the game, as most issues tend to be those focused on by the most vocal rather than maybe the lesser issues that actually cheese off more people but get less attention.

they can see your login ! they can see if youre gone since XX days / weeks / years ! if you come back then its ok but i´m sure youre still in a statistic that said “inactive” and if they want they could find a possible reason ! i wont denie that ppl will leave because they got ganked ( self-inflicted ) but still without any data i´m pretty sure that the reason “got ganked” is not a big one … its for sure reason far below the average !

You are missing the point. Just because a person hasn’t logged in for 2 months doesn’t automatically mean they have left the game. They might have decided to go explore the Gobi desert or something.

A newer gpu seems like overkill for Eve Online still though.
Summer is not for eve me this year. I support scout camps for my sons troop, 2 week longs far away. With not much time between them.
Some chars will need something “fun” like a bs 5. Those pita skills will go in as I go off grid a bit. 30+ day trains don’t feel so bad…when you are away lol.
Watching the daily counter makes it feel worse imo lol.

see you pointed it out yourself, they COULD find the reason, but they havent. they dont contact people that are inactive. and most people quitting an online game dont quit, biomass charictars, and delete their account, they just stop. CCP dosent contact those people, so they have no metric for why people left appart from forums, which shows what i mentioned above.

modulo the fact that there was no speed limit on ships in Elite Frontier. It’s a regret I’ve always had in EVE, that the vacuum of space has been replaced by the Aether, implying a resistance to progress, as in a fluid.
Space is only a vacuum using our current technologies, maybe what ever tech Eve ship’s use interacts with what ever is in this vacuum but is hidden to our (as humans) current tech.
