[OVERVIEW] De-couple Colour Tags from Players and Ships/Drones

I nice QoL addition would be to able to have Colour Tags applying to players in chat channels while at the same time being able to disable the tags from displaying on Ships, Drones, Structures etc.

Grids can be visually overwhelming quite often and I find that an easy way to make life easier is to turn off all Colour Tags. However, an issue is that you then sacrifice a great deal of contextual information displayed in the member list of chat channels.

So I think this would help reduce visual clutter in visually overwhelming situations while also being able to keep that contextual information that is so important.

I do not yet understand the situation.

Usually if grids are visually overwhelming the number of players in local chat is large enough that any contextual information in the chat channel isn’t going to be useful. You can see that there are many hostiles and friendlies in local, possibly neutral parties as well, but that’s about it.

Also to clean grids I like using overview tab filters to get a better idea of what I think is important.

Usually I have all brackets turned on so that I can still see everything in space even if the overview tabs show a selection, but if in bigger battles that is too crowded and chaotic it is possible to only show the brackets corresponding to your current overview tab.

Could those options help you?
