“Great event” reaction.
“Killing your alts spree” is irredeemably stupid no matter what.
Just as “padding killboard with dumb loot” event was.
ED: if you add 50k SP penalty for killing a barge for a week, I’d be in for lolz to see who’s willing to take a hit.
Don’t get this new event (at least for hi-sec): I should be trying to kill someone using a Velator (not to lose any money when concord zaps me)? Anything larger is a waste of money I think. Or travel by shuttle the month?
Suicide gankers probably do not need SP as they live of loot.
It seems like there is no way to not enter this spree (you either kill or risk to get killed).
Oh please, dude.

DA FREE SP
Frigate focus is good for new players but “meh” to veterans. What about a sliding scale to encourage larger acts? Offer a few million SP, distributed between all characters on a Titan KM, for example.
Next day: unfit goon titan down with half the goonswarm on the km.
Denied.
What of the frequent public cry “Death to all super’s?” Let them do it.
This is pretty wrong, but not unexpected for you.
Vets will be more than happy to earn un-penalized SP with little to no effort. The chance to get potentially hundreds of thousands of SP with maybe 2 minutes of effort of popping a frigate real quick? Hell yeah.
There’s only really 1 group in EVE that’d be willing to sacrifice a Titan like that each day, and even they aren’t that stupid.
L5, L4 and even L3 (for Alphas) missions are serious business, more unpredictability here will only generate negative comments from mission runners who make money on that. On the other hand, L2’s are more likely to be ran for fun rather than profits.
Sure, but, the event could be made more interesting, and perhaps generate some news or at least player stories, if it encouraged and rewarded some variety.

About the red dots: We do think this feature has value, particularly for newer players, but we know it has caused some aggravation and we’re always looking for ways to improve.
We’ve already made some changes to this feature so it isn’t showing the red dots anymore where they are not necessary (drones and probes for example) but we know there may well be other places we can improve.
If you guys have any feedback on the specific pain points you’re still dealing with I’ll be happy to pass that along to the relevant teams.
This is fine.
Not giving the option to turn it off is not fine.
Like when I place 1 item in cargo and undock and I get a dot?
No, that still happens.
Welcome btw
This is actually super useful feedback and is just what we’re looking for. Thanks!
Yw
The option to turn off the red dot would be nice. I can see the value it’d have for the new player (especially when missions require looting an item while others get placed right in the cargo), players that have been around a bit and know this don’t need to know when we put items in our cargo. Because we did it ourselves.
In addition of want to be able to opt out of red dots, I would also like not to be greeted with “you have unallocated skill points” message everytime I log in, since I would rather want to save my unallocated SP for times when I lose a T3C, when a new skill is released or when I need to train an off-remap skill, instead of aggresively spending every last unallocated skill point I have.
If you’re going to leave it in the game for some reason, add a feature to turn it off and have it off by default.
Or just leave it in, against the wishes of the entire community, and have an even worse UI experience for new and older players, that works too I guess.
I hear you guys on the request to add an option to remove it and rest assured I will be passing that along.
At the same time I’m also looking for feedback that will help us improve it to the point where people aren’t quite so desperate to disable it.
