Well now Sa Baron Chakaid has accused poor Samira of being an Ammatar blood cultist, and claims to have evidence linking her, and the elements hired by Mizhara, to these “deathglow” cultists who are some kind of covenant related group.
And has apparently submitted the evidence to the Theology Council.
Wouldn’t mind acquiring samples of this ‘Deathglow’, as well as all available research materials relating to it. It doesn’t look like it’ll be even remotely useful on its own, for our purposes, but it might yield interesting information and insights into the Insorum Research we’re conducting at Project Mekhios.
As for cultist involvement in Network operations… well, I highly recommend all blooders or other unsavories to locate and apply to join any Network cell available. They’ll be given a… warm welcome.
The only thing that worries me here is that apparently this is the level of quality the Khanids feel a false flag operation requires. I mean, it’s some of the most blatant and poorly executed stuff I’ve seen in my life and yet this is all they feel is necessary for it to succeed. Pay no attention to the man behind the cur… the tow… the vei… pay no attention to the man behind the handkerchief.
They know everyone already knows. They know they don’t have to be at all believable, because no one would actually believe it anyway. All they have to do is smile smugly, shrug and go “Who, me?” in an obnoxious manner and go on with their day’s work.
And the Empire will accept it. They’ll keep embracing the Khanids, because they don’t care about getting more than the most barebones of deniability in place themselves.
Well that or everyone involved in scripting this playbook is unbelievably incompetent, but that’d be a stretch.
All that seems relevant is that it’s not immediately lethal when combined with Insorum. It’s the same methodology as used in the Mabnem attack. Insorum to remove the dependency on Vitoc, so the slaves will not die from Vitoc withdrawal, and a hallucinogen to drive them into a violent rage so they’ll riot. I doubt any of the affected can be restored to sanity.
We are talking about the Khanid Kingdom here. Transparency is the Kings middle name.
I applaud the efforts of the Royal Armed Forces in locating Her Royal Majesty Queen Zidarez. Although I am troubled by some of the reports made by the Scope, as they have yet to be verified by Amarr Certified News, I have nonetheless established a Mobile Depot to serve as a communications relay and forward administrative office for a relief mission undertaken by Cerra Holding. I personally pilot a Nestor-class vessel bearing the diplomatic callsign “Cerra Relief Mission” and have entered orbit around Kahah III.
However, to any opportunists who believe this vessel to be a so-called “soft-target,” I am prepared to defend this mission by force of arms if necessary. I join with other loyalists who have established a cordon to preempt any offensive operations conducted by those terrorists responsible for the attacks in Kahah or enemies of the Empire who have infiltrated into the ranks of the faithful.
Furthermore, I reaffirm Cerra Holding’s position of ensuring Samira Kernher sanctuary and join with the Avarr Family in extending legal assistance as well as formally recognize her claim of feud.
By His light and His will,
Lord Reginald Sakakibara,
Lord Adjutant, Cerra Holding, Huola VII
There’s your smoking gun, my lords. None of Mizhara’s operatives have used or even known of “Deathglow” prior to this. Lord Chakaid is fabricating evidence in order to force a link where there is none.
I also challenge, that if we were “blood cultists”, as Chakaid is trying to claim, would we really have focused on destroying clone stocks? Just two years ago the blood raiders were calling on their supporters to raid military cloning facilities to prevent “pure” clone stock from being “sullied”.
Poisoning clone stocks would be a severe breach of blooder religious beliefs.
Then again, I suppose the claim does make some amount of sense. Representatives of the Kingdom have consistently proven that devotion to religious principles is something they do not understand, and think everyone else is as sacrilegious as they are.
Samira Kernher is many things. A heretic, having denounced Empress Jamyl I as a ‘deceitful clone Empress?’ Certainly. In need of some drastic repentance? Of course. Possibly too far gone for salvation? Maybe.
But the last thing Samira Kernher could ever be is a Blooder.
However, I do know of a certain Khanid who is a Blooder.
