I opened the OP link.
It reminded me of tracker music.
I searched my HDD for the tracks I recorded as .mp3 after changing my computer decades ago.
Also googled for “modtracker”. I’ve just discovered that tracker music is still a thing, and VLC player has compatibility to several tracker formats, such as *.mod, *.s3m and *.xm.
So I’ve started listening to tracker files I first saved on a HDD 26 years ago. I’ve had literally 5 computers since and just carried them from one HDD to the next…
…now my tracker collection is back.
