Play2earn "p2e"?

-50 Jinping points to you, good sir.

This is the kind of thing that’s coming, a permissive, quantified society, and social interaction, and who you interact with, down scored because of whom you associate with.

That is probably the responsible way of doing it, which I doubt hard. There are so many PLEX in the market, I think they lost it.

Burn that idea with fire.

That depends if you consider a raffle as “gambling”.

Thank you so much for the video, @Ranar_Linyne
It’s very interesting. Thanks for the explanations and I like the wit peppered throughout.
Take care.

I hope those who knowingly push that crap and know it’s a scam end up broke and depressed.

Agreed but on top of that I personally also hope they end up in jail for willingly and knowingly supporting a scam.

Though maybe the end result of your hope already has the same effect regardless so probably it is already a sufficient resolution to hope for.

I don’t really care how they end up broke and depressed, that’s for a higher power to decide, I just hope they get there and the most painfully the better.

That’s because you’re smart.

I hate to say it but online gaming has been like that for over a decade especially for mmo’s. My first mmo was in 2004 - 2005 which had multiple gacha balls that gave people costumes with bonus stats that could only be obtained with real money. Then I moved to eve online that had the plex for quick isk influx. Personally, I never saw many cries of pay2win from those two games but when I started playing mmo’s licensed to aeria games it was so much worse. The mmo’s there required you spent real money for a lot of the items to even be half decent in the game with defence and attack. Even then some of them had a chance based system in place so you wasnt guaranteed to obtain them, however, it was possible to buy them from other players providing you had the in game funds.

I think the worst type of mmo at this time are the web based ones especially the ones targeting popular animes over time as they make a new server every week to milk new players and old who like jumping from the older servers to the new ones for more players. I tried out one of the servers right after it was first opened, within the first 5-10 minutes I witnessed one person drop $10k on it just to ensure that he was #1 in the server. I tested the game for a bit and they didnt stop there with their spending.

In regard to “schemes that players never asked for”, you are correct. Players never asked for them but some of them are perfectly fine with coughing up money for items they deem a requirement such as custom costume skins.

They exist far more than most realize and still utilize money even when the game doesn’t provide microtransactions. It happens in eve.
