Kill rights are something very few people understand, let alone use. Most of them haven’t the faintest idea of what it even means or how to activate it.
Honestly, I forget, I could figure it out but a simple and easy to use bounty system would be great. Personally, if you think they are “your rocks” I would likely put one on you just for the hell of it.
As it stands now there are no bounties, and most of what I see is people saying “oh that won’t work because I don’t like it”. In some cases they have a valid point but this game needs a system of some sort not just a void where the old one used to be because a server couldn’t cope with some numbers and CCP couldn’t deal with listening to people squawking about having a bounty placed on them.
What ever the problem is it’s been gone for a long time and needed fixing anyway.
well the system in the video i posted would fix that
u would get a random bounty (a player with bounty who is online) from a bounty agent npc
by over 35000chars and several thousand bounties the chance is very low that u get ur own alt as bounty
and ofcourse u could add more systems to prevent grief7abuse (u wont get bounties from corp members, or u wont get bounties to the accounts that are bound to ur ip, not sure if or what is possible but there are alot of diffrent ways)
one thing is sure,… i want bounties back!

And the problems with any random system have been gone over time and time again, namely the fact it doesn’t let you actually work as a bounty hunter anyway. And still can’t let you bypass Concord.

What about having to buy a Bounty-Token in the store in order to place a bounty? Available for $ only, not Plex.
$1.99 gives you the ability to put a 10m bounty on a player.
To keep the game balanced the player who got the bounty can buy a $1.99 Letter of Indulgence to purge 10m off the bounty amount.

They won’t be implementing anything. They’ve broken their own game and don’t have any plans to fix it.
The bounty system used to be functionally better a loong time ago, when people could ONLY bounty those who had low security status, below -2 iirc, and THEN it had some meaning.
It also had a giant flaw; that an alt or corp mate could kill the bountied main behind moon 19 an early morning and collect the full bounty, so it sort of became a gifting-system where victims who sought revenge instead donated isk to their killers.
Ccp then, as usual when ccp fix stuff, broke it even more, by allowing everyone to bounty everyone and bounties rarely paid out any meaningful ammount of isk, so no one cared anymore, except those new players who suddenly worried cause someone set a 1 mil bounty on them. Ccp then tweaked it so a player had to be one month old to be bountied, but it was still broken and removing it was the only way to fix it.
Imo, just scrap the whole bounty idea. Any isk still registered, dump it into the sink and forget it ever existed. It will be a few trillion isk deleted and should make ccp’s economists happy.

The biggest problem with bounties was they dont work, friend kills you, split the money. No punishment. if you tied the bounty into a skill point deficit that had to be paid off before you could continue skill learning. Boom! Bounties now matter.

Who is it you think bounties should matter to most is a more important question?
The person they are on, or the person trying to claim it?
Also, why should there be bounties at all? Or even Kill Rights? Is it some sort of mental salve, some sort of need for revenge?
See, in that regard Bounties were far more useful than KRs. Before they set a minimum amount for a bounty, you could, for a tiny dontation of isk, be informed every single time any other character lost a ship to any source. It was really handy.
The question I have had in the time since this “temporary” removal of the bounty system is; Why does CCP not want people to know when other people lose their ship?
people didn’t blow up their ships. They poded and let the friend kill them. Bounty claimed. no loss. easy cash, especially if the bounty was high
Bounty payout was based on a percentage of ship value plus percentage of implant value if podded so unless they were happy to piss away expensive implants… No?
