Players don't understands Eve is a Free Game... why?

Another one page self embarasement comes. He will write a book soon

As everyone -included free players- , you have the right to be here.
Don’t think please that I give you a permission

Yes, anyone who reads all the comments will see that I have paid for this game before, and with that payment I have already bought skills , ships, and other things which I just can not use now in my account, indicating that I am a customer with a purchased item is very clear but not so much as you can understand. So What do you want to eat , a hamburger may be?

Aahhh and good copy paste from the internet best sellers

I thought so as well. I hadn’t seen this drawn version before and I like it a lot.

What about an Epsilon account?
Let me explain… it’s halfway between Alpha and Omega…
It’s sort of silver account… for those who have invested a certain amount of
Omega time/plexes in the years… like … all veterans basically…

These Epsilon Accounts could have more juice in their sleeves compared to Alphas…
May fly all of their ships… retain all of their Training but can’t train more…
Can make some basic market but same as Alpha…

In a word… a more rewarding account type for retention of veterans players
AND… something for new players to think about when comparing long term Eve as an investment
related to others One-time only purchase…

Maybe the perception would change??

What about an account for each letter of the greek alphabet?

A noble thought. Would throw off the entire balance of EVE however. I think it’s valid to say all consumers understand that because EVE’s business model is subscription based, they are unwilling to spend that money compared to all the one-time purchase games (DLC’s included) and to every streaming service/subscription luxury out there. It likely would make CCP lose more monthly income overall.
Doesn’t take a degree to look at the current state/competitiveness of the market CCP has to battle for.

Open to other sides of the argument on this. I can’t see a onetime purchase thing happening in EVE…

What about a discounted but special monthly sub purchase method where you pay $5 for a month but the actual clone state you end up with is random like:

  • 33.9% chance to end up as omega
  • 60% chance to end up as alpha with $1 worth of PLEX in your vault
  • 5% chance to end up as alpha with $5 worth of PLEX in your vault
  • 1% chance to end up as omega with $5 worth of PLEX in your vault
  • 0.1% chance to end up as omega and receive an AT ship in your hangar

:smirk: :innocent:

That would trigger some countries regulations as gambling. Unless all possibilities are at least what you’ve paid for. Looks like the options ā€˜alpha’ are bad for the customer and making it a no go.

Also friendly reminder, CCP probably has some big costs with operations, nobody here is to blame, they decided for the fast to start, shitty, Python and now are paying the price, but keep that in mind.

In my opinion alpha is a bet from CCP, they betting people will sub, any alpha not subbing is an undesirable cost. Subbing with PLEX is fine, because people that buy PLEX wants ISK, so PLEX needs to sell.

But loot boxes are not gambling, they are surprise mechanics.

They could have a wheel ( of fortune ) players can spin at log-in for rewards like isk, PLEX, a ship, SP

or even characters items:

I think that would bring the right crowd…

…a wheel that you spend PLEX on to rotate.

Even better if it also gives you NFTs to the items you won not just the in-game items themselves, but only if you pay extra PLEX for the bonus feature. :smirk:

That goes without saying

I tried life once. The graphics were really good but the gameplay was sht and the load times were too long.

1/10 would not recommend life.

So whar you’re saying is that you cant read and it makes you embarrassed?

It’s not free. You are gated to what you can do. End of story.

A true free-to-play would make EVERYTHING in the game accessible, with paying only accelerating certain aspects.

It is not free-to-play.

What you and CCP are thinking of is called a free-demo.

ā€œPod pilot candidates are a rare breed. Only 14 percent of all those who apply are able to make it past prescreening into basic trainingā€

I feel that I still had not yet passed basic training and it is those real life memory fragments that are holding me back.
