I feel like EVE favors the low sec and corp players more.
Give us Hi sec players who prefer to play solo, casually and enjoy peaceful game Level 5’s too.
Or give us level 4.5’s Harder Level 4’s. I enjoy running missions and doing hi sec stuff but I feel like there’s not enough PvE for me. I don’t wanna go to low sec because i’m not interested in dealing with pirates, gate campers and such.
I agree with Dyver - if you want better rewards in high sec, try the harder high sec content. Homefront, Burner/Anomic missions, higher Abyssals. Or combat anomalies and look for escalations.
The best rewards/content isn’t supposed to be in high sec. That’s your incentive to experience the other 75% of the game.
Have you checked out what’s available to redeem in most Navy stores? 500 ISK/LP if you’re lucky. The rewards are not what they once were - especially considering the risk.
Doesn’t matter - the idea has about as much chance as Singularity returning…
Depends on how often you lose ships to a level 5 (and I’m referring to all hostile elements - not just mission NPCs). On paper, sure. In practice, well…
Though what if level 4 and above missions scaled based on the number of fleet members within the dead space ?
Running Level 5 missions with corp members could be under projects!
/example suggestions.
When a project is created within a corp for a level 4 then that can increase in difficulty, resulting in what feels like a level 5 both in NPC numbers and loot.
A lot of it depends on the amount of incoming damage shared across the increase of number of NPC ships when warp in or for each spawn.
If he really wants to increase the challenge, he can run L4’s in a weaker ship. But I rather think he just wants to make some more money, then he should learn how to blitz, how to include all the Burners and how to exchange his LP more efficiently.
A real tryhard can make up to 400M/hour with L4s, with the right preparation. Thats not easy of course and requires a lot of knowledge and investment to really optimize killing- and traveltimes, MTU usage, as well as LP exchange, but it shouldn’t be easy.
I think that is more than enough reward for a HS activity that can be done repeatedly without that much risk.
That tends to be the case though. If you’re not good enough to clear harder content reliably it will often be less profitable than easier content. That’s most games
Sure, it’s theoretically possible to hit 400m ISK/hour. I recall a recent post on Reddit where the guy ran 150 (or so) hours of blitzing L4s to get a workable average - and I think it topped out in the 300m ISK/hour range. There’s also the question of extreme burnout doing that…
