CDPR is running their business with what I would say is emphathetic aproach. CDPR is really a strong company that growed and strengthened itself by that aproach to customer. And they also do pricing right, the Witcher 3 Ukraine and Russia regions having adjusted prices.
Please give an example or two…keeping in mind that Eve also has regional pricing…
It includes their policy towards microtransactions mainly, aproach to players, what their games offer for that price. But the pricing reductions also help to reinforce that. They also have shop called GOG where I bought few older games very, very cheap.
Great examples…
CCP doesn’t use micro-transactions, they have the CSM and tons of “festivals”, they offer a very fair “trial” period and their game has ways built-in where you can easily play for free…
Not so bad right?
Well, the history behind CSM is a bad one, and the introduction of AURUM with monocles also wasnt the smoothest either, with greed of CEO hurting them. Their word isnt also something you can count on. So not close. They failed many times. Lot of improvements to be made in CCP.
Not the same level of trust and appreciation, not the same level of gains, sorry.
Everything gets more expensive year after year, but if a subscription for a game goes up once every few years then suddenly people cry.
Personally I wouldn’t be surprised if all sub prices would go up, it’s not healthy for a company to not adjust for inflation ever so often.
The CSM, for good or bad, (and I’m sure you have your bias too) is pretty unique in gaming and overall a pretty cool idea. Of course CCP has had some big bumps along the way…few on the planet could boast a blunder free two decades…
As for “their word”, I have no idea what you are talking about as that is your opinion, not a fact.
…and not the same company or products or history either…sorry…
Well, what would happen if CCP would adjust their sub price for inflation and wage increase in the west? Imagine that.
Even at 3% per year, a monthly sub would now cost just over $23.30 USD if stared in 2005…people would be tossing themselves out of their airlocks…
Didn’t hear you raising issues when the Russian sub was well bellow the west…
As said, I’d fully expect and accept it. Because it makes no sense for a business to NOT adjust its prices for inflation.
Will people cry? Of course they will but only the 12 yearolds, the manchildren, the narcissistic and the dumb will. None of those folks matter.
So what is holding CCP hand?
True, though I have a feeling it was inspired by TSR’s D&D organisation the RPGA
But whats holding CCP from adjusting prices in EUR and USD. That would be logically viable if outcry wouldnt matter, as is opinion of some. Or maybe it would matter after all or something else would matter…

I think its the easiest option, they just dont know how to solve the VPN problem, if it really exists…
Knowing Hilmar, I would say its greed overshadowing every solution. He is known for outrageous pricing already.
But maybe now is not the time for people in Russia to pay for games anyway, not that price for sure.
In the news, it is written about price changes for an activated subscription. What does it mean. If I have a subscription for a year… will I be charged extra or will my subscription period be reduced?
only new payments are affected.
while players are still playing eve, they can start solving the problem with $ 10-12 for everyone and everywhere… for example I will have no problems in this case paying for the game and buying plexes to help developers…but the ССP policy collect money from players… does not cause a desire to help them additionally… and even “Plex for Good” . in doubt… now the company behaves the same way as people who sell gloves and sanitizers for x10-x20 relative to their real value up to COVID-19
let me remind you that this game is one of the few where 1 acaccount is not enough… and this is also an additional fee for each player
I don’t know if the counter shows a real online… but it should definitely be divided by 3 or maybe 10 )) or the counter shows unique players and not them alts
So you actually believe that when a company says “We raised $xxxxxx for charity” that the company paid out money? lol
No, its always the customers. And sometimes the staff, too.
