There are some really strong entitlement posts here. 10/10.
I got to enjoy a few fleets of marauder medium gang PVP, it was super fun while it lasted. RIP fun I guess. 90 minutes is a significant part of a normal EVE game session, spending it sitting waiting for stuff to happen is just a hard no-go.
Instead of removing the reason for that PVP, you could have:
- nerfed the site payout / make the sites actually hard enough to warrant the payout, the incoming dps is laughable as the rats spend more time warping pointlessly around than trying to kill you
- increase the time spent inside the site (force a room clear for objective to spawn)
- turn on drone aggro in the sites (why is it even off?)
- add two more acceleration gates leading into the site
This patch was not designed by someone who has actually run sites in pochven. If you were worried about the economy, rather tone down the payouts a bit - even a 50% cut would still likely attract players. Most of the action comes from having to travel through a tube from site to site - that’s what makes it interesting for pvp. Putting in a 90 minute wait where everyone docks up in a station just makes it boring and stupid, for ambushers as well as runners.
Edit: cut the payouts, and make travel more dangerous. Less stations. More scram rats on gates. That’s how you plug the leak and keep the players happy.
The butthurt is strong in you , cry a bit more now ! I like it when you do that .
So you confirm it yourself , that you’re talking out of your wahzoo .
Well, the feedback in this topic does clearly point out other ways to fix the issue with these sites than adding a discouraging artificial waiting-timer. From making them harder, to reducing their payout to change the way how the engagements work in there. Maybe there is hope that CCP actually listens to this constructive player input. Because if protecting the economy is really their goal, alternative ways that do not hurt PvP would be a lot better than the current solution.
That’s how you know that CCP really hit them in the ISK-printer…
If Ishtars and drone boats are the problem, then don’t allow them to enter Pochven. Simple…

So roughly a 16% drop in activity…
It is still pulling pre-nerf data. Will have better results when it is pulling 7 days of post-patch data.
3331 kills for 7 days = 475 kills a day
My guess is that after 7 days, kills will be down 50% or more, around 1500 mark.
In terms of destroyed isk, instead of having a 1.7 trillion isk destroyed month, probably 1.2 trillion for the month, and 900 billion for January if nothing is changed.
Lmao I guess someone got scared by the clown so flagged your post.
So each site takes 90 minutes to spawn but there is no reason why you finish one site and 2 others are still open you just move to one of the other 2 sites and go pvp there once you finish all 3 sites the first one has respawned already.
The change only makes it impossible for 3 ally groups to all go run different sites now everyone has to chase the same sites at the same time so bigger fights than before. There might be maybe 5min down time max imo.
This is a thread for long-winded earnest hand-wringing and walls of text focused on how a ninety minute PvE cooldown period will destroy Pochven. Anything else will get flagged as off topic.
So, I will try staying on topic.
I hate Pochven. I hate the entire concept of needing to grind PvE standings before you can participate fully in what ought to be a PvP area. If Pochven dies because the residents can no longer be ultra-uber-wealthy, I will celebrate.
Oh, and I also hate filaments.
you don’t need to grind any standings for pochven mate unless you wanted to mine in the home systems
This was changed awhile ago already, after spending a week grinding to 5.5
I noticed that something has also changed with the advent of the Accelerator flashpoint. Does anyone know something?

There were a lot of options to make the Pochven even more interesting, but you chose to just kill it. A very stupid idea, instead of making the passage of the Observatory more difficult or introducing restrictions on ships.
I find this nerf a bit over the top!
Comparing to the rest of EVE - I haven’t found a place that has enabled me to have fun like Pochven did!
It was a place that allowed me to fly Marauders without fear of losing them, a place that gave me untold amount of Blu Gu.
In all my time in EVE, I have never felt like I was playing the game like I did when I was in Pochven.
Don’t nerf Pochven!!
BUFF EVE!!!
The economy in EVE is absolute abysmal - I got bored of running sites for a bit and tried doing some missions etc (the absolute standard this game offers) - the isk I made was pathetic - might have to have a dip into wormholes now…
Developers do not care about the opinion of the players. They even in this topic can not write anything. They just don’t care.
